Do you know if Kenner still makes the Star Wars action figures they used to
make in the 70's and the 80's?

Kenner? No. The "same ones"? No.
Kenner ceased production of the Star Wars line of action figures in 1985,
but started them up again in 1995. The early design of the "modern" (as
opposed to "vintage") action figures was overly muscular and turned a great
many fans of the original figures (myself included) off.

In 1991, Hasbro bought the parent company of Kenner. It continued to use
the Kenner name until 1999. In that year, you will see the Hasbro name
appear on Star Wars action figures. Today the line remains strong. In
fact, it saved Hasbro from huge losses last year. The sculpts continue to
improve. Here is a Luke that will be released later this year:
