Hi,
For what it's worth I have now got a copy of AfterDark's Star Trek: The Screensaver (ta, Andy).
It's on my Yahoo! website (http://uk.geocities.com/philadkinsp/index.html) at http://uk.geocities.com/philadkinsp/startrek.html.
The download is less than 3 megabytes.
It was written for Windoze 3.1 but it runs adequately under Windoze 98.
It may not run under other OSs.
It's effectively abandonware since there appears to be no trace of the copyright owners, Berkeley Software, Berkeley, California, USA.
Paramount licensed the few Paramount images it used and the concept to Berkeley.
There are a number of warez sites with registrations for the software, needed for some, even most, people.
But I bought my original copy!
It's all based on the original series, Kirk, Spock et al., and is fairly crude by today's standards - but so was TOS!
Some stuff runs too fast to be seen on a 32 bit OS, Tribbles breed like the lightning you can't see on Starry Night.
But most of the stuff runs OK.
Take care,
Phil.
