Captain Infinity's Notes on "The Last of the Red Hat Mamas" [message #248448] Mo, 17 April 2006 02:31
Captain Infinity
Lots of things happen during this episode so it's hard to keep things
straight. There's an Easter Egg hunt. Homer has sex with his bowling
ball. Marge joins a gang of old-lady lesbian egg thieves. Jackie Chan
makes a movie with Pepsi's stunt double. Marge goes sky-diving without
a helmet. Homer does something stupid. Lisa does something boring.

DYN's:

* Ralph has a hole in his Easter basket

* Marge's friends include Lisa and the stove

* Italian Americans dump bodies in the ocean and shoot people who ask
questions

* The crazy cat-throwing lady is crazy and throws cats

* Millhouse has blue Groucho eyebrows. So does Smithers

* Mr. Burns has three dots on his head

* Lou and Chief Wiggum are gay

* Moe commits suicide twice

DYN: The clever 'play-on-words' device employed once again, "Permission
granted Lou granted", used to make a totally irrelevent reference to Mary
Richards' former boss.

Thank you for reviewing a repeat, Captain, most tv critics shy away

Captain Infinity, you mock me. My episodic reviews may record the
observation of details that you may consider ordinary, but I also
observe and report on references to popular culture and history that
others sometimes miss (who am I making fun of right now?). I just
re-read your review. You mention the Pepsi commercial with Jay Mohr
and Jackie Chan. I once referred to a soda commercial where a guy was
riding a shark as if Abe were doing it. YOU MOCK ME! BTW, didn't the
dog from Frasier ride the dolphin from SeaQuest in one episode of OFF?

I'm not mocking you; get over yourself. I'm just presenting my observations
of the episode, as many others in ATS do. Perhaps I have noticed things that
others viewers haven't? If so, I like to point them out so those viewer's
enjoyment of the episode is enhanced. For instance, in scanning past posts I
see that no one...NO ONE...has ever mentioned that Mr. Burns has three dots on
his head. Except me, that is. It seems as if I'm the only one who has ever
noticed this, so I pointed it out. How does this mock you?

Thank you. I'm just trying to point out some things that viewers might have
missed the first time around.

I don't know if I want to do that. Alt.tv.simpsons seems to be the right
place for Simpsons posts. Feel free to crosspost your replies wherever you

BTW, I was making fun of Sideshow Mel. He would talk the way that was
written. Or Xino Kiner.

Captain Infinity sounds like the name of:
1. A comic book superhero sidekick.
2. A Sesame Street character.

mmmmm, Muppets.
Can a Sesame street character be a super hero side kick?
Odd question.

The possibilities are, ahem, 'infinite'. Now for your all important catch
phrase... "To infinity and beyond" is taken already, but perhaps Buzz
Lightyear would be willing to sell the rights to it?

I already have a catch phrase, and it's 15 characters smaller than
Buzz's mouthful.
