in case there is anyone new to the group, several of the James Bond movies
were filmed in Nassau, Bahamas. On my summer vacation, I videotaped three of
the sets: the British Colonial Hilton Nassau used in Never Say Never Again,
the Vulcan Bomber used in Thunderball, and the Tears of Allah wreck used in
Never Say Never Again.

Saw it yesterday and got a kick out of it. Very nice. I've also dived the
Tears of Allah, but not the Vulcan. The so-called "Thunderball Reef" is very
nice too.
But my favorite Bond/Nassau memory was above sea level - dining at Cafe
Martinique.

No idea why you still appear on my reader. You don't have to trust me on
this, but I have plonked you before and again today.
Changed your profile/name etc.?

Oh, not that tired rhetoric again. There's no such thing as a true or
non-true Bond flick. Eon has the rights to do Bond films. At one time, so
did McClory. All are official films, just not part of the same series.

What "die hards" denounce NSNA?
Yes, we did miss the sarcasm since it did not register on the wit scale.

<<Oh, not that tired rhetoric again.>>
Good point. I like what Graham Rye (?) said about NSNA. It is an
American-made Bond film and let the Brits do Bond.
Bahamian locations feature from:
CASINO ROYALE (2006)
THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH (1999)
NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN (1983)
FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (1981)
THE SPY WHO LOVED ME (1977)
YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE (1967)
THUNDERBALL (1965)
And the James Bond novels including:
HIGH TIME TO KILL (1999)
LICENSE TO KILL (1989)
THUNDERBALL (1965)
And we are visiting many of these locations at the upcoming 9th annual
Bond Collectors' Weekend. See http:///articles.omnibilia.com for more.

Respect to Mr. Rye, that statement doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Albert R. Broccoli was American, Harry Saltzman was Canadian. How are
those facts reconciled with "Let the Brits do Bond"?
Further, to state fact related to the official James Bond film, "Never Say
Never Again":
Sean Connery (Cast, Executive Producer) - Scottish
Kevin McClory (Writer, Executive Producer) - Irish
Douglas Slocombe (Cinematography) - English
Stephen Grimes (Production Design) - English
Roy Alon (Stunts) - English
Vic Armstrong (Stunt Coordinator) - English
Michael Legrand (Score) - French)
Klaus Maria Brandauer (Cast) - Austrian
Max von Sydow (Cast) - Swedish
Barbara Carrera (Cast) - Nicaraguan)
Alec McCowen (Cast) - English
Edward Fox (Cast) - English
Rowan Atkinson (Cast) - English
With all that talent and influence associated with the project, how is it
said that the official James Bond film "Never Say Never Again" was "American
made"? 'Tis true that Schwartzman (New York), Kershner (Philadelphia), and
Semple (New York) were American and that they have key roles in the
production, but to state that the official James Bond film, "Never Say Never
Again" was "American made" is only partially true.
With Broccoli at the core of the EON Bonds, could it not be said James Bond
has had an American influence since 1962?
Tom Zielinski
"...Bond's eyes narrowed. He knew, at some point, he would have to slay this
particular dragon. He settled back in his chair, removing a Morlands' three
ring special from the gunmetal cigarette case. As he waited for the
delicious Balkan/Turkish blend to take effect on his lungs, he reflected
that "Tired Rhetoric" would be a good name for a band..."

Ah, it was a pretty good film, though Octopussy was better. And it is a
very good film if you see it with the recent re-score. ;)

You're wrong. McClory won the lawsuit and Fleming lost. Fleming admitted
later that he should have settled the issue early on. McClory wrote a
screenplay at Fleming's request. Even though Fleming couldn't sell it,
McClory owned it. Fleming has no right to adapt it for a novel. Even
though McClory owned the copyright, he made a further agreement with
Broccoli and Saltzman given them first shot at producing the movie,
reserving remake rights to himself 20 years later.
Per agreement with Broccoli and Salzman, yeah, NSNA is an official Bond
picture.
How many more times does the S.P.E.C.T.R.E. of this nonsense have to be
raised before it's put to rest?

No, homosexuals can detect wit, they just can't whistle. If you don't even
know *that* maybe you should actually read some Ian Fleming (if they print
Bond books on brightly coloured fabric, of course - your incisive and witty
comebacks indicate you're not much above that age).

Get some new material, kid. Every time someone is backed into a corner and
has their wit questioned, they start calling other people homosexual. It's
tired and redundant, and it only goes to prove the claims about your wit.
