I've heard it seriously messed up the timeline and that's why certain
canon no longer jived especially with the frequent 'errors' seen in
ENT. Supposably the end of the Time War arc snapped everything back to
what it was originally....

....yeah.

According to what I've heard, the Federation knew the Borg were coming
before Q snapped the Enterprise to them in Q Who.

Q was giving them a taste of what's to come. The Borg were already
coming.

Regeneration is not bad at all. I actually thought it was one of the
cooler ENT episodes. Easily, the coolest episode prior to season 4.

This is a retcon, and I *hate* it!

I love Enterprise a good deal more than most in the groups, but I
cannot abide this wholesale disregard of continuity. I dislike First
Contact as well for the same reasons. Further, it makes no sense
continuity-wise that if these were the First Contact Borg, that the
NX-01 could destroy their ship when the NCC-1701D could not .. I can
give Berman and Braga the benefit of the doubt on many things, but not
this. Stuff like this puts me in the camp of those screaming for them
to resign and dissociate themselves from Trek.

And I just *love* the fact of how those scum /scum/ _attempt_ to bypass the
question of canon & continuity - note that at no time do the Borg in
"Regeneration" IDENTIFY themselves as "Borg". Not a single "We are the
Borg", so Braindead&Braindeath can say "We didn't violate canon, you don't
know what you are talking about! They weren't "Borg" to the humans so when
Picard comes across them for the first time the Federation can't identify
them! It was truly "all new" to Picard!"

Yeah, right! O.O

If you use a fake loophole, just small enough for 20 angels who were dancing
on the head of that pin to pass through, does it really count??
