Those blasters don't seem to be so strong weapons. They travel slow through
the air (slower than our bullets) and they make minimal dmg( Leia in ROTJ
was hit in arm but she didn't suffer any bleeding like from our bullets).

Lasers are bascially made of light / plasma - they travel faster thatn
a bullet and the heat cauterises wounds.

Just like a bullet, it depends on where you hit.
Despite Obi-Wan's words in ANH, we know that Stormtroopers are hopeless
at aiming and hitting anything smaller than the broadside of an AT-AT
or Jawa Sandcrawler. :-)

I guess also that it all depends on where a blast hits the body, just like a
bullet.
Head & Torso are critical areas, but limbs would be generally superficial.

Haha...LOL...Maybe Obi Wan should have said "these blast points are too
inaccurate to be any anybody elses" :-)

I dont think you understand the weapon. It uses a laser to generate a
blob of energy (like a plasma or small ball lightning). It is this
particle that travels. the name might be misleading but, as an
analogy, you dont call a rifle a "bullet or a lead", you call it a
rifle because the rifling inside the barrel gives it the distance and
accuracy by spinning the lead bullet.

A big advantage with plasma is that it hardly has any mass, and therefore
have barely noticable (expr?) impact on the velocity of the person/ship that
carries the weapon.
Also, "all" you have to carry with you is the pure energy to drive the
weapon, not any projectiles.
(And please don't ask me what's in Chewies ammo belts :-)

A Wookiee bowcaster is not a blaster - unlike a blaster the bowcaster
does fire actual projectiles (quarrels, short metal "arrows" similar to
those use in the crossbows the weapon is based on) and extra ones are
carried in the bandolier that Chewie wears, along with extra power
packs for the weapon's energy system.
BOWCASTER AMMUNITION
The traditional Wookiee bowcaster uses a magnetic
accelerator to fire explosive quarels, which are
enveloped in a penetrating energy shell as they
are fired. The bowcaster has a range of 50 metres
and requires immense strength to cock.
- Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary
BOWCASTER MECHANICS
The bowcaster works on the principle of magnetic
acceleration. A pair of spherical polarizers
generate positive and negative pulses that power
the weapon's tensile metal bowstring. Enveloped
in energy when it emerges from the barrel, the
quarrel could be mistaken for a blaster bolt.
- Episode III: The Visual Dictionary
SURE-SHOT
Tremendous strength is required to cock and
control bowcasters. Travelling circuses use
bowcasters in feats-of-strength competitions.
Chewbacca's, however, is more tribute than
traditional, with an automatic recocking system
and low light scope. Consequently his bandolier
houses more power packs than most.

Obi-Wan might have been refering to the old republic clone troopers,
knowing that they had been recommissioned as stormtroopers, but not
actually having encountered them

Few, if any, of the original Clone Troopers still exist by the times of
Episode IV. There's also zero proof that Stormtroopers are still clones
either - it makes little sense for the Emperor to waste money
continuing to use clones. It's cheaper and easier to use "normal"
humans, which in fact the EU material does give proof of vai several
quotes about the Academy.
Before anyone brings up Leia's "aren't you short for a Stormtrooper"
line, it has nothing to do with them being clones. The Empire no doubt
has strict height and weight requirements (just like Police and armed
forces do) - among other things it makes making armour much simpler if
there's only a couple of standard sizings.

i don't think anyone's mentioned this, either, but when Han and Luke enter
the detention area (Level 5, Detention Block AA23), and the officer asks
what the deal is with the Wookiee--Luke tells him, but the guy's only
response is "I wasn't notified", not "You sure don't sound like a
stormtrooper. Aren't they all clones with the same voice? Who are you? Alert
security! Seize them!"
