The MacGyver convention is held in the Sons of Sicily Hall.
The Star Gate convention is a spoof of that show on Bravo, which has
been spoofed on the
Simpsons before. In fact, the voice actors have appeared on that show.
Selma and Patty have a MacGyver lava lamp. CBG has a lava lamp in the
episode where he is banging Agnes.
Homer tells the BULL: "Don't play hard to milk with me."
AA-BRA CA-DA-BRA. We see the humongous bra again. Last time it was
when Bart and Lisa were visiting Selma and Patty hears ago. "I've seen
them naked." "AY-CARUMBA".
The power plant is inside of a Taj Mahal like building. The Bangalore
Nuclear Power Plant.
Homer's bodyguard is supposed to be Gobinda, the character played by
Kabir Bedi in the James Bond movie about the Octopus and the, ... uh,
..=2E. but I can't seem to remember the name of the movie.
Karnak/Johnny Carson is spoofed again, just like in the Long Island
Iced Tea episode.
At the motor vehicle place, there is a public service poster featuring
Krusty in the background. "Give a Hoot, Don't Drink and Drive".
Homer does not recognize Ganesh, and calls him the Elephant Man, even
though he dressed up like Ganesh in the episode where Apu got married.
The end of the show, with the Navy boat and all, was a spoof of that
movie where the apocalypse took place right now, but I can't seem to
remember the name of the movie.
"A Bomb Shabei", "Ivan Eht Nioj", whatever.
Bart gets ink on his hand when he touches the ersatz thermostat on the
wall of the house. Homer gets int/paint on his hand when he wipes the
purple mark off of his head at the end of the episode.

Not only that, but James Lipton appeared on this show (in DABF14).
