| Fox NFL doubleheader (AKA King Of The Hill Already In Progress) days [message #246223] |

The NFL announced its schedule today; here is the list of Sundays
where Fox has scheduled doubleheaders (except when the Sunday schedule
would be pre-empted for post-season baseball). On Fox doubleheader
days, every Fox station (except for a few in NFL cities, because of
the strange blackout rules) has a game that starts at 4:15 Eastern -
and when that game ends, Fox will switch to another in progress until
all of its 4:15 games (Fox shows games where the visiting team is an
NFC team) are finished.
Of course, for KOTH fans, this almost always means the episode is
shown "already in progress" in the Eastern and Central time zones, and
on occasion an episode will be pre-empted; a couple of times last
year, the games lasted so long that the start of that night's Simpsons
episode was delayed.
9/10 - 3 late games on Fox
9/24 - 3 late games
11/12 - *2 late games
11/26 - *no late games scheduled
12/17 - *2 late games
12/31 - *2 late games
*Starting in November, one game per week scheduled for Sunday
afternoon will be moved to Sunday night, and each network can move one
of its 1:00 games to 4:15 each week. Because of this, the number of
late games can be one higher or lower than listed. (The announcement
of which games are moved each week is supposed be on the Tuesday two
weeks before the Sunday involved.)

I downloaded many, many episodes of KotH and The Simpsons last year. And I
didn't feel guilty at all, since I would have gladly watched them on TV,
with their ads, IF THEY HAD JUST BROADCASTED THE F***ERS!!!
Sorry...

What episodes didn't they broadcast?

If you mean KotH, I remember "Death Buys a Timeshare" (or the title was
something like that). I only saw it broadcast in my area some time later.
Around the same time, I downloaded "Fat Man and Little Boy," because I
missed all or part of it. To be fair, I think my beef with 'The Simpsons'
was that it would start late, etc. I'm downloaded a few others as well,
where I would miss all or part of the episode.

"Death Buys a Timeshare" was the title - and now I see you're talking
about episodes that weren't *completely* broadcast. (Hands up, those
of you who remember Fox showing just the last five minutes of "Livin'
on Reds, Vitamin C, and Propane" in the east.)

And of course, there were re-runs later; but I wanted to see it now, dammit!
