Carmen Electra has a new TV show, called BOOBS.

There is a show on TV in Springfield called Jock Center.

Moleman and Nelson have heart attacks.

Maggie has a toy called "Point N' Laugh"

Magge's babble is subtitled "Bald Mommy is sure to fail."

When Homer is working in the basement, we hear typewriter and pinball
machine noises. Among other things.

The team is called the Springfield Meltdowns.

Rob Reiner is part of the team trying to bring the NFL franchise to LA.
The song "Springfield Blows" is sung by a variety of singers, but I
only recognized Quick Draw McGraw and Mick Jagger. Assuming the guy
wearing the red bandana was supposed to be Mick Jagger.

The women who yells "I didn't murder my husband to inherit his NFL
franchise just to put a team in LA" is based on nobody in particular,
but Carroll Rosenbloom, the former owner of the LA Rams, died of a
heart attack while swimming in 1977 or so and his widow, Georgia
Rosenbloom (now Frontiere) took over the team and moved it to St.
Louis.

Mel to Jimbo: "Isn't your mother a well known whore?"

Quimby once saw Lloyd Bridges at Hartsfield Airport. I once saw Will
Geer at Underground Atlanta.

60 Minutes - 48 Minutes.

Didn't Homer once prevent the Olympics from coming to Springfield, and
now Abe has kept the NFL out?

Dr. Egoyan - Dr. Kevorkian

While Abe is waiting for the phone to ring we see the sun and moon
flying by, with background music to boot, reminiscent of the scene in
an earlier episode where Homer overslept and people kept coming in and
out of his bedroom.

The suicide machine is a spoof of the scene in "Soylent Green" where
Edward G. Robinson dies. Now with more girls!

One of the OLE votes in favor of bull fighting is clearly Marge's
voice.

SIMPSONS MOVIE July 27, 2007, one day after my 51st birthday.

Grandpa rode that shark, ... it was cool, ... oops, that was the
Mountain Dew commercial.

The stadium's original name included "Stupid Flanders", but when it was
renamed, it had the humble moniker "Estadio de Toros".

The Wiggums were in the stands watching the bullfight, but Ralph wasn't
with them.

The bullfighting announcer suffers from OCD, and apparently is psychic,
too.

Headline: "Old Man Beats Meat".

Today bullfight, tomorrow, bloody sand sale.

Wow, reading your post is like watching the show all over again!
Amazing work there, Sherlock!

Captain Infinity, if that is your real name, how many other posters are
going to point out the similarity between Georgia Rosenbloom and the
woman NFL owner who said that she murdered her husband?

And, Captain Infinity, I pointed out in another posting that I was too
demoralized by the lame episode to ff stuff like the running of the
bulls or the people in the stands at the bullfight in order to see
anything funny to report. I was only able to catch Mick Jagger and
Quick Draw McGraw in the singing segment, and that NFL owner stuff I
told you about in the other posting.

In the NFL meeting room, one of the pictures on the wall was of Gale
Sayers.

In the LA video, the singers included Michael Jackson, Eddie Murphy
(conducting), Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson.

The noises in the basement when Homer was working included a drill,
hammer, cash register, bowling, and pinball.

The people who committed suicide at Dr. Egoyan's clinic included
Socrates, Virginia Wolf, Hemingway, and Hunter Thompson.

When the door to Dr. Egoyan's death room opens, a Star Trek door sound
is heard.

How come no one mentioned that since a Canadian wrote this episode he
used the name "Egoyan" as an inside joke about "suicide-inducing"
Canadian Filmaker Atom Egoyan being the inspiration fro Dr. Egoyan? He
makes dull depressing films don't you know.

Fortunately, the Internet is still around, and they have it on
computers now, so we can investigate this non-union Canadian generic
equivalent to Stephen Spielberg:

I don't understand. Springfiled has the Atoms with "Stan the Boy
Taylor". Don't they play in the NFL. We're they a minor league team?
Homer was their biggest fan. Why doesn't anybody bring this kind of
stuff up?

Oh yeah, where's my Nacho Hat? Two tickets to paradise, won't you
pack............................................

You don't watch a lot of sports, do you professor? :-) I am reasonably
sure that the Atoms are a fictitious team. They certainly do not play in
the NFL. (National Football League)

Stan Stan, he's our boy, if he can't do it, no one... will!!!

The episode you are discussing, http://www.snpp.com/episodes/1F14.html,
contains one of my favorite lines:

Homer admits Ned has been the nicest to him that anyone has ever been.
On the drive out of the parking lot, they see Carl and Lenny again.

Ned: Oh, I guess it's time for me to duck again.
Homer: No! I want everyone to know that -- [yells] this is Ned
Flanders, my friend!
Lenny: What'd he say?
Carl: I dunno. Something about being gay.

BTW, isn't Jimmy Hoffa buried underneath the stadium where the Atoms
play?

Eddie Murphy? Try Quincy Jones.

I think that was Keith, not Mick, and El Kabong, not Quick Draw McGraw.

Also singing: Jar-Jar Binks

One thing I am absolutely sure of: In the NFL meeting room, the
picture on the wall of the guy with #40, white jersey, blue pants, red
numerals on jersey, was GALE SAYERS. Wait a minute, the Bears didn't
wear blue pants when Sayers played for them. I hope someone got fired
for that blunder.

No. El Kabong wore a cape and a mask, a-la Zorro. It was Quick Draw
McGraw. "I'll do all the thinnin' around here, an' doooon't you forget
eiiit." Did El Kabong inspire "The Who" to smash their guitars, or was
it the other way around?
