Okay, I just feel the need to do this.
I've been posting to this group for the better part of a decade.
Recently, I've been doing some Google searching and running into many
of my old posts.
On more than one occassion, I proclaimed that the Old Masters Box II
sampler had the CD mix of "Mr. Green Genes". Anyone who owns both the
Uncle Meat CD and the Old Masters Box II sampler know that this isn't
the case. The tracks on the Old Masters Box II sampler were digitally
tweezed during the mastering process, but they are closer to, if not
identical to, the original vinyl mixes.
Now, I know I've said some dumb things on this ng (I even found a
really old post where I said that my original YAWYI CD sounded good),
but this one was just bothering me.
I value other people's opinion and I would like mine to be valued, as
well. It is difficult for anyone to do that when I say something that
is so obviously incorrect.
So, anyway, if you read one of my old posts and you think, "Huh? This
doesn't sound right.", ask me if I still stand by that old statement.
Sometimes I will. Sometimes I won't.
I now return you to your newsgroup discussions already in progress.
