Could this be the real reason why so many of the bad guys don't simply
put a bullet in Bond's head when they have the chance?
>From http://www.newsoftheweird.com/ :
"Russian president Vladimir Putin apparently surprised diplomatic
observers in Britain in January when he declined to expel four U.K.
diplomats who had been accused of espionage. Reasoned Putin, according
to a January dispatch in Britain's Guardian, these four weren't smart
enough to avoid getting caught, and if he expelled them, the U.K. would
just send replacements who are more clever."

LOL. But I think President Putin makes the little Russian joke,
tovarisch :-) I'm sure it's not quite the whole story, and that's not
really his reasoning. Just thought it was an amusing aside.

tovarisch :-) I'm sure it's not quite the whole story, and that's not
really his reasoning. (Considering his background, it would be pretty
astonishing it it was.) I just thought it was an amusing aside.

Has anyone ever commented on here how much Putin looks like
Kronsteen??? I belatedly noticed the resemblance while watching FRWL
on AMC the other night.

I believe it's been mentioned, but I can't find any specific links.
Vladek Sheybal, who played Kronsteen, was Polish by birth IIRC, so
they're from much the same part of the world.
