Looks like a movie I want to see. Perhaps we aren't seeing the suave,
stylish portion we want to see to reassure us Bond is still the man we
think we know, but we are at least seeing the Bond role that Connery
probably would have jumped at. Craig has the spring-coiled animal physique
and the rough and rugged handsomeness many attribute to early Bond, with
the modern, slightly unkempt look they dared not use back then.
Just one or two really slick sequences to balance it out, and I'll put my
money on Craig stealing it. He's getting to play the Bond Brosnan was
aching to play. Who could ask for anything more?

AFAIC, never, mate. I just tend to agree with you more often than not,
and find that you've often put my thoughts more succinctly than I could
myself, and so don't find many occasions where I feel the need to post
a response.
I'll be interested to see how the caterpillar-to-butterfly
transformation of Craig's Bond will be handled. It's the one element
of the film which has been trailed in advance about which I have
reservations.
