I know this is a day late, but most definitely not a dollar (or pound)
short.
Best wishes indeed to Timothy Dalton on his 60th birthday!
And thanks!

Here, here! Happy birthday to Mr. Dalton, and thank you for bringing
Fleming's 007 to the screen! I can only say that I feel robbed of a
third Dalton film--I've a sneaking suspicion it would have been great.

Hang on a second - has his date of birth been firmly established as
1944 or 1946? I've seen both quoted. Given his enrolment date at
RADA, 1964, either is possible, and in fact the latter might be more
likely, but I was wondering whether anybody knew for sure.
(I met an actress the other day who had a terrible crush on Dalton when
they were in the National Youth Theatre together - if I'd known the
subject was going to come up I would have asked her!)
Best
Phil

Yes, happy birthday. You transformed the character and gave
performances that rank among the best Bonds ever. Too bad you never
gave us a third or fourth . . .

I guess he's 60..........
From Tim Dalton's official website....."In 1967, Peter O'Toole recommended
the 21-year old Dalton for his breakthrough role of the even younger King of
(sic) Philip of France in "The Lion in Winter" (1968).

In which case, a belated happy 60th, Tim!
(Now pretty sure that 1946 is right - it would have made him 18 when he
entered RADA. 1944 would have left a two-year hole in his biog between
leaving secondary school and going to drama school.)
Best
