When Cedric's hit with AK, he goes flying backwards a bit. Now, what
if he was on a tower at the time?
The real question this invokes is, would JK allow a different effect
to occur then she wrote? If AK can not possibly send one flying,
wouldn't she have objected to that scene? Easily fixed to have Cedric
collapse to the ground. It's as if the force of the blast sends one
flying backwards. And I don't think we've seen someone's full AK
death. Just Moddy's spider, which seemed to be squashed, possibly
from the angle of aiming down on it.
Could the level of hatred behind the desire to kill make one go
flying?
And would JK make sure that the full effect of a spell is portrayed if
it seems contrary to what has been written, because nobody's death has
been detailed like in a movie script. IE, AK and died, not AK, fell
backwards, crashed into the ground, breaking table along the way.

Well, the books and the movies aren't the same. The movie is called an
adaptation, not a literal translation. Therefore they have a degree of
artistic license.

The films are for effect and JKR didn't write them.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: When Harry opens his eyes,
Cedric is spread-eagle on the ground,. That does NOT happen if one just
collapses where they stand. I think he DID go flying a bit, and Harry just
didn't have his eyes open to see it happen.

What I find strange is that in the GOF book and movie, there was a
very, very small number of Death Eaters (in the movie it looked as if
there were around ten). There were how many thousands and thousands of
wizards at the Cup? I know that the Death Eaters were dreadfully
feared, but even if 1/2% of the wizards at the Cup stunned or cursed
them immediately, all of them would have been in Azkaban at once.
(Obviously, there wouldn't have been much more of a plot, but you get
my drift)

Yep.. Just a hundred wizards and "STUPEFY" would have done the trick.
