See, to me a "Harry Potter themed holiday" would mean dressing up and
serving cauldron cakes, butterbeer etc. To you, apparently, it means sight-
seeing tours to places involved with JK Rowling's life, books, and movies.

a mixture of both the above would be nice. especialy if it is based in an
old castle.

I was simply trying to answer Catherine's comment.. to me, a holiday is
a day like.. Easter.. Christmas.. etc. a day off work, school, life in
general. And yes, a Harry Potter holiday would be for something like,
Harry Potter's birthday. For a huge part of the world anyway. In
England, it would still be taking a Harry Potter themed vacation.

yes you are right a holiday is both over in england. it can cause confusion
here as well. if i say i am a weeks holiday, it might just mean i am taking
a week off work. or it might mean i am going away for a week "vacation".

Harry Potter holidays. No one still has any idea what the heck you are

Some years ago I remember hearing about a tour of the sites used to
film the first movie. There is a more or less permanent exhibit in
Kings' Cross Station of a luggage cart "halfway through" a wall,
which ought to be on such a tour if they're still doing them.

Probably a search engine would turn up some websites, or a
good travel agent might be able to find one or set one up
if someone had a group that were interested.

Anyways, there was a link to a holiday [as in vacation!] company on either
leaky-cauldron or mugglenet or one of them. The site is at
http://www.magicaltours.org/ - I have absolutely no idea if they're any good
or not so this is entirely at your own risk and no recommendation one way or
the other!

(By the way, is it the Leaky Cauldron that's on Charing Cross Road? It's
quite odd in a way, as CXR is where I usually catch the bus home after the
gym most evenings - sort of just a pub away from being in Pottersville :)
