Since JKR has said that the last word in the HP series will be the word
"Scar," and I don't believe anyone has written an HP Fanfiction story where
that's the last word, just for snicks what do you think the final sentace
will be? Here are some ideas -
As Voldemort looks up at the boy he could not kill, he gasps, "Scar......"
or
Harry smiles as he looks at his two best friends, and think, that he'll now
be able to live the rest of his life, being more than just a "Scar."
With tears in his eyes Ron held his dying friend in his hands and then
looked at his own, when he noticed his new scar.

I had always thought something like this:
Harry took one last look at himself in the mirror before leaving for
Hermione and Ron's wedding. As he did he thought of all that he had
been through and how he would actually miss having the scar.
So, my feeling is that when Voldemort dies the scar will vanish. As they
say in Nanny McPhee, "I wonder if he's using a cream".

Haven't looked hard enough. Many have guessed that Harry will notice
a certain lack of scar.

It is a magical scar, directly linked to V, and created by his hand.
Almost a guarantee it'll vanish with V's vanquishing. That'll be the
final chapter's title. Vanquishings and Vanishings

Just *for the halibut*, I posted this little dribbling lark for
publication in the Sunday Quibbler last September. Here it is again.
......
Petunia's secret
It is the summer of '65 and young Petunia Evans can't figure out what kind
of satisfaction those guys in the ear plug of her Mitsubishi transistor
radio are harping about. A letter written in emerald-green ink arrives
from Hogwarts. Has she not always known that she was somehow superior to
the rest? Filled with anticipation, she boards the Hogwarts Express and
lands in a compartment with the most handsome, charming, cultivated and
obviously wealthy boy she has ever encountered. She is absolutely smitten
by, her fellow first-year student, Lucius Malfoy. This must be what love
at first sight is all about.
Lucius is initially intrigued by the haughtiness and arrogance of this
blonde girl with bony hands, horsey face and very long neck. She might
make a good substitute for the house elf that had to remain behind at the
manor. He casually steers the friendly chat toward her family and abruptly
terminates the conversation with one shattering word: "Mudblood!".
Petunia, having been sorted as a hopeless Hufflepuff, feels the depressing
effects of her unrequited love. She is incapable of producing a single
magical spell in class. Totally devastated, she leaves Hogwarts and
returns to her trusted muggle world vowing to, someday, find a man who
will simply give her a child and a sober, legally regulated home life. She
warns her young sister about the pitfalls of the wizarding world.
Many seasons pass. Her despised nephew is celebrating his coming of legal
wizarding age and her house is no longer under magical protection. Harry,
loosened by Firewhiskey, remembers one of the Prince's little annotations.
Unaware that his dangling wand is pointed in his cousin's direction, he
tells Ron and Hermione about *Cicatrix Transferro!* (captioned "For
Mutilation"). Kreacher bursts in to cackling hysterics as he sees Harry's
scar flash across the table to plant itself squarely upon Dudley's
forehead, knocking him backwards onto the floor. Harry dashes upstairs to
check his appearance in the bathroom mirror.
Suddenly, Lord Voldemort apparates into the living room to destroy the boy
with the scar, noting that he is a bit more along than he would have
expected, particularly around the middle. Ever the protective mother,
Petunia's loving eyes turn lightning green as she instinctively performs a
silent wandless "Avada Kedavra", collapsing in the process.
The rest of the book has our team following Tom Riddle's ghost around and
picking off every Horcrux it manages to reach. Harry's final words are:
"You're safe now Dudders. We've finally destroyed them all. Cheerio. Oh...
and take good care of my scar!"

I first read that as "As Harry googled in horror..."
and it still made sense.

No she said at the moment the last word is to be scar but she has also said
that she will need to do a bit of tweeking to that last chapter. So if there
is to be a rewrite then it is not a sure thing yet.
How ever as that matters little to your question

Harry looked at his baby girl and saw a mark on her forhead that looked just
like his scar.

are you sure?
you know i wouldn't be at all surprised if the chapter in which harry
destorys LV is called Vanquishings and Vanishings. though it probably
won't be the final chaper, as JKR has said she has written an epilogue
chapter which is the final one.

Ah, Ok. I consider epilogues and prologues outside the Chapters,
hence not called Chapters. So, Book 7 would have, let's say, 37
Chapters, and an epilogue.
