I was hating the southern gun guy, but they jazzed him up a bit. Now that
he's mental, I like him more. I like guns as a hobby, but having the oil
baron guy shooting all the time with the wee-haa's is just annoying. So
Homer got out and he wasn't the center of attention. That was a Good Thing.
Overall, great ep, best in a long time.
Several threads were introduced as well, that was pretty cool. Long time
coming for some of them.
I wish the intro would be full-length, however, I miss seeing the pan across
the characters.
Was the couch gag new? I don't remember seeing that one. I've been busy the
last couple of years.
Lisa is as cute as ever, that is pretty cool. Lenny or Carl are the gay
ones. I'm leaning towards Carl. We don't know much about him. But we do know
that Lenny lives a very spartan life, which is counter to the gay lifestyle.
So Moe has a cappuccino machine- that just kills me. And I loved the
multiple levels. That was just too cool.
That's all I got.
Joe

Yes indeed, excellent episode. I loved the scene with the southern guy,
perhaps because I'm obsessive compulsive myself (Yee-Haw! 1234 Yee-Haw!
1234 Yee-Haw! 1234...) Lots of great quotes and gags as well. And I
agree about the full-length intro, I want to see it more!

I'm just happy that the writers added something to the character. The
one-dimensional gun-happy oil guy was getting pretty irritating. Not
something that should be part of a Simpsins ep.

Did this occur to anyone else? When the ram is charging through Burns'
mansion, he keeps running into planters, furniture, etc. This would
seem to be a reference to the Simpsons Hit and Run video game, in which
the mansion is one of the game levels and you get points for destroying
items like these. This is a clever reference if it is, indeed,
deliberate.

Is it still clever if it's not deliberate? Or is it, as it seemed to
me, banal?

Full credits means less actual show.

I loved Homer's line about the waste of having children.

Did anyone else think the animation seemed to change, especialy during
the Moe story? It looked kind of flat to me.
Loved the sheep talking, none of the sheep I know can speak.
