I was watching a clip from "Rock 'n' Roll High School" the other night, and
noticed a policeman character saying of the Ramones, "They're ugly. Ugly,
ugly people." (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079813/quotes) This brought to
mind Chalmers in "Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baadasssss Song" saying "class
after class of ugly, ugly children." (The Italian Chef also calls Bart ugly
a couple of times later in the episode.)
The commentary in the capsule says nothing of this (tenuous) connection.
Anyone know (or think) if the RRHS line inspired the line in SSSBS?

It's not as tenuous as some of the crap I have tried to pull in this
ng. I see Catch-22 references everywhere. Didn't Colonel Cathcart
once tell Major Major that the squadron was made up of ugly, ugly,
pilots?

You'd better be careful. In your quest to become the all-time, top poster to
this newsgroup, you may find yourself sliding into the same territory as
that Darren Hayes guy.

Hey. At least most of Mr. Hirshberg's posts are on-topic, are funny IMO,
and do not proclaim that The Simpsons is sucktacular. I say let him post
away, even though he may be a pompous ass.

I don't disagree; I was just making a little joke. I apologize if Mr.
Hirshberg took offense.
