If I had known that there were no extras ie no directors comments, no
actor interviews, no deleted scenes nothing but the movie. I would have
rented and ripped it.

As is, I feel WB ripped me off...

There are those things on the "special edition" 2 Disc DVD. Quite a few
cast/crew interviews etc.

In fact, in the main interview of the trio, the interviewer's final question is,

S

O

L

E

R

S

The final question is, "If you've already read books 5 & 6, What of those things do you look
forward to playing in the movies?" This questions seems to almost force the trio to commit
to being in the 6th movie (we know they're already in the 5th), since at least Daniel actually
answered the question citing a reference to book 6. You could see Rupert and Emma really
struggling to answer the question without revealing whether or not they'd commit to the
6th movie.

The 2 disk version I am getting (not released here for another week)
contains all that stuff so perhaps you bought the single disk film only
version?

I thought that was some sort of game DVD. Didn't do this with the
previous movies :P

The studios are getting a little sleazy slick with DVD releases now, they
market and hype their special edition disks, but they don't tell consumers
that they have a "regular" bare bones edition, so unless you look carefully
it's easy to purchase the wrong version, especially when you go into stores
and the version that is usually on full display is the crappy bare bones
version. I went into Borders, Sams, and a few other places on release day
and the bare bones edition was the one that was "in your face" if you didn't
know to look for the 2 Disk Deluxe one (that's advertised all over the tv,
but not as a "special set") it's easy to make that mistake. I did it with
Batman Begins and was pissed when I got home and realized that I had to take
it back.

The 2 disc edition has a slipcover over it with a "holographic"
textured picture. (I may be misusing the word "holographic" but the
picture changes when you tilt the box). It also sells for about $7.00
($22) more than the no-frills edition ($15). Available at Target. If
you can't find the deluxe edition locally ,Amazon.com has it for
$20.99. (You'll have to scroll down a little to find it, it's not at
the top of the list).

Hope this helps!

Marli.

I buy my DVDs through a rather decent website that lists each edition separately
so you know well in advance what you're getting. Whether it be "Full Screen,"
"Wide screen," or any "special edition- full or wide screen". I'll know what it is.

Actually, they *did* this with POA. They had a series of interviews with various
cast members. Rememner the "talking head" was one of the interviewers.....
