Nothing specific. Best guess is 2008, but some are
hoping for 2007. When a real date is announced, it
will be all over the news - you won't have to ask
on a newsgroup.

That was stated in a commentary article on HPANA.com. As of now,
there's nothing concrete to support this.

The book will bbe released after it has been written and the film after
it has been made.

There have been guesses,there have not been announcements.
Each is in the early stages of creation and neither can be
released until thoroughly complete.
We can expect that neither will be ready this year,
the film certainly next year,and the book possibly next
year and possibly the year after.

JKR has stated that she plans to finish book 7 this year. Assuming she
means the end of the year, it will be out next summer for sure. Since
it's the last book, she no longer has to decide what to keep quiet or
how to word something without giving to much away, so it should be much
easier to write (in that respect). I have no doubts she'll finish this
year.

Hofstadter's Law. It always takes longer than you expect, even when you
take into account Hofstadter's Law.

I do...she is already reporting things taking longer than she expected!
