Recently, I came across a most interesting thing by the name of RenFaire!
For those of you that do not know, http://www.renfaire.com/ should answer
all your questions.
On the other hand, for those of you who have an idea of what it is, I'm
currently on the hunt for some information.
I know that the RenFaire happens in the US and I know that they have lots of
cool medieval groups like the Society for Creative Anachronism. I want to
know if Australia has any cool groups like these, and if they do, what and
where they are.
I've done a whole lot of webbing, and still can't find much.
A big ask, I know, but if you can help...

I can't find much about renfaires in Australia. The only source located is
dated somewhat. Contact Folk Federation of S. Australia, GPO Box 525,
Adelaide ,SA 5001 Australia, 51-8-83401069. This was listed as a medieval
festival.

Huh. I've never heard of Renfaire, but the Medieval Fair is coming up
at the end of this month where I live in Norman Oklahoma. The SCA and
the AOA (Authorian Order of Avalon) will both be there, and I have
friends in both groups. I could ask them if they know of anything that
would be useful to you.

Renfaire == Renaissance Festival == any pseudo-medieval reenactment,
usually lighthearted and not taking itself too seriously (Klingons
welcome, in other words ;-) ).
YMMV, but that's the basic idea, I think. As for finding one in
Australia... err... no idea, sorry :)

Another dated source is the Brisbane Medieval Fayre. E-mail:
madilayn [at] yahoo.com or try www.brisbanemedievalfayre.com.

I had the same problem. I'm not sure how big the market is for this sort of
thing is over here, but I'm hoping something will pop up. Thanks for
helping!
