Daniel Craig must be wishing he had never taken on the James Bond role
as so far he has not exactly had a great time of it...

He has been berated by Bond fans, had teeth knocked out on set and now
is suffering from a bout of prickly heat!

According to The Sun, Craig is unable to take the heat of the Bahamas
where he is currently filming for 'Casino Royale'.

A source told the red top: "It's driving him mad. He constantly wants
to scratch. It's worst when he does a costume change. He's in agony.
He's been moaning to his assistants that he's got prickly heat. He's
extremely wary of being outside now but the nature of filming is such
that he is out in the heat all day."

What will go wrong for him next?

--- This is just the beginning, but I still stand by my prediction: CR
in February 2007.

And I just have to add the embellished version from:

LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Daniel Craig has suffered another setback
filming the new James Bond movie - a nasty case of prickly heat.

The hapless star - who has been lambasted by 007 fans who claim he's
the wrong choice to play the suave spy - got sunburned topping up his
tan for 'Casino Royale'.

It comes just weeks after Craig lost two teeth shooting a fight scene
and confessed to film-makers he didn't know how to drive Bond's classic
Aston Martin DB5 car.

An on-set source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "It's driving him
mad. He constantly wants to scratch. It's worst when he does a costume
change. He is in agony.

"Daniel has been moaning to his assistants that he's got prickly heat.
He is extremely wary of being outside now."

Meanwhile, Craig reportedly stunned the film's crew when he asked them
to supply him with an array of pampering products.

A set insider is quoted in Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying:
"He wanted wet wipes, baby lotion and, strangely, two nail files - the
sort of item's Goldfinger's aide Pussy Galore might have wanted. No
one dared ask him why he needs such girlie items - but things could be
worse."

I thought your prediction was shooting would be delayed while they
recast.

'Embellished' is putting it mildly. The last two paragraphs are about
as idiotic as anything I've seen in a tabloid newspaper. The crew was
'stunned' when Craig asked somebody to pop to the chemist and buy a
couple of quid's worth of products which most people have in their
bathroom cabinets? Yeah, that's *real* Hollywood diva behaviour, isn't
it? I'm sure everybody was *shocked* by his *outrageous* demands.

And a minor case of sunburn is going to cause CR's release date to be
put back by a year? Get real.

This is just getting silly.

--- Well, maybe hardly minor. Sure, it's not known to what extent his
prickly heat is other than it's driving him crazy, but it could
possibly be a percursor to developing an allergy to the sun itself.
There are people who are sun-allergic, I happen to know one. She was
fine with the sun till her early 30s and then one day, bam, just like
that, out of the blue! Skin rash like you wouldn't believe and it's
never been the same for her since. She literally has to stay out of
it.

I'm sorry for your friend. However, I think it's more likely that
Craig simply didn't use enough Ambre Solaire, stayed in the sun too
long, and got burned as a result. That's slightly more common in my
experience ;-)

(Reflecting that when you compare what's happened on CR to the
roll-call of deaths, near-deaths, hospitalisations, and serious
injuries which have occurred on other Bond films, Craig and company
have got off pretty lightly so far, and that requests for cheap
toiletries seem pretty trivial in comparison to requests for limitless
supplies of cigars or days off filming to play golf.)

Incidentally -

Wet-wipes: to help remove makeup

Baby lotion: to protect skin against irritation from makeup (doubly
important if you're sunburned)

Nail files: to help remove harder, spirit-gummed prosthetic items such
as fake scars which won't simply peel off

All standard kit for an actor who's going to be made up at any point
during a play or movie. Yep, I bet the crew were 'stunned' by
these requests.

Biting sarcasm, right? See, I'm learning ;-)

In fact, I'm starting to find this tabloid stuff amusingly absurd
rather than annoying. What's going to be the next sign that CR is
'jinxed' and that Craig is a wuss? Craig spills his Evian? Craig gets
bitten by a crew-member's poodle? Craig feels a little ill after
eating an unripe banana?

If I had more time on my hands and no life, I would start up a satirical
website: brosnannotbond, with pics from his pre-Bond days, such as the
IRA hitman from "The Long Good Friday" who pretends to be gay to get his
mark and indulges in a little kiss with a man at a swimming pool change
room. Outrageous! A gay Bond! Then I'd dredge up candid pics of Brosnan
not at his best--you know, with goofy looks on his face or showing a
double chin or something, the pics that tabloids excel at
showcasing--and stick them on the site. Bring back Roger Moore!!!

Is it possible to use them to remove dirt from hands while on location
when a sink isn't readily available? These have been standard issue in GI
field kits for years now; soldiers claim they love 'em. I guess that means
that those who volunteer for duty aren't manly enough.

On the other hand, I cannot picture Pussy Galore doing anything "girly",
so I hope Honor Blackman kicks that editor's butt.

It wasn't a news report of any kind. Do we have to wonder about why you

Easy and fun too! In fact, I'm thinking of starting a bondnotbond

Pierce Brosnan once appeared on "The Tonight Show" not looking like
Remington Steele: His hair wasn't perfectly darkened and colored and he
hadn't shaved. Scandolous!

Obviously not, since Craig is still being mocked by the tabloids for
wearing a lifejacket on the boat ride to the press conference - despite
the fact that the Marines who accompanied him were all wearing the
same.

I don't want to feed the flames, but do recall reading Daniel Craig couldn't
drive the old DB5 because it was a manual. The crew were 'shocked' and had
to take the car away to modify it for him.

This never happened to the other fella.... still, who drives stick anymore
anyway? Tiptronic gears is the way to go.

There is no such thing as a Brosnan fan...otherwise all his non-Bond movies
wouldn't flop. There are just a few people who like him as Bond.

Craig will prove that there is room for a return to the good old days when
Bond wasn't just a pretty boy prancing around with a machine gun smirking at
girls.

I like Brosnan in many non-Bond films. "Fourth Protocol", "Evelyn", "The
Thomas Crown Affair", "The Tailor of Panama", "The Matador." All very good
films, and Brosnan was good if not excellent in all of them.

I think the man is seriously under-rated as an actor.

You couldn't be any more wrong. Brosnan should have won the Oscar for
"Lawnmower Man". Hollywood just doesn't know what it was doing.

Agreed, and it's also worth noting that Connery's non-Bond films didn't
exactly set the world on fire (despite some fine performances from Sir
Tam) for a long while. John Boorman has more or less admitted that
Connery did 'Zardoz' because he wasn't being offered much else at the
time. Brosnan just needs a few years to get out from under Bond's
shadow, and then I suspect we'll be able to appreciate him better as an
actor.

I was a Brosnan sceptic before GE came out, but think he did a grand
job. Whatever you think of the movies which have come his way, Bond
and non-Bond, he's always delivered at least the performances the
script demanded, and several times has improved on the material he was
given. That's a pretty damn good record for any working actor.

absolutely, compare the connery record after he left bond and before he made
it again in the late 80s with brosnan's and you can see though brosnan isnt
churning out huge hits hes doing some great stuff. the matador just goes to
prove it, the guy CAN act. he is however at a difficult age for an actor,
there isnt much demand for a late middle aged guy, it was only when connery
started to be properly bald and have grey hair his career picked up again.
