Stax, the guy who wrote the IGN film review, posted more info on the
Commander Bond forum (at least everybody there accepts him as the same
guy, and seem to know him). Here are a few of his posts elaborating on
his script review:

Fairly positive, some spoilers (there's a warning in there). Overall, I
liked it but had issues with the love story:

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the feedback. Yes, there's a gun barrell
(that's the "origin" imagery, that 00 license-issuing part that Latino
Review mentioned). The very end of the movie is cool. That's how I
would have done it, too, if I had been lucky enough to write it.
The dialogue is fine. No dumb puns or inuendoes. My only nitpick is
that it sounded too American. People saying "yeah" and things like
that.
The finale in Venice owes a lot to THE THIRD MAN.

CR does follow classic Bond formula to some extent: multiple exotic
locales, a secondary villain (Dimitrios), a Victim character (like the
Countess in FYEO or that one in MR), clashes with M, gambling, henchmen
....I don't know why Craig said he wouldn't be wearing a tux in it. I
think he was kidding. The tux is actually a big part of the beginning
of the casino sequence. Wait and see.

THIRD MAN in terms of chases/suspense not location. And come to think
of it there really is only one big explosion but plenty of action,
incl. that rumored race across rooftops stuff.

Zencat's right, guys. Don't obsess on the SAS thing. It was just a line
of dialogue ... then again since I didn't read the first 40 pages I
don't know if it opens with 007 being in the SAS. That said, stop
worrying.

'Yeah' is American? Maybe thirty years ago, but certainly not now.
Mike won't like that bit about the puns and innuendoes.

Hope they use Venice properly, and don't go down the stereotyped
'Cornetto' route they did in MR. 'The Third Man' seems to crop up a
fair bit in Bond film history, doesn't it?

It's possible that the tux has been dropped since this draft, but I
think it's just as possible, as Stax suggests, that Craig was stirring
things up for the benefit of the press. After all, he was happy enough
to wear a tux for his first publicity shot, which I suspect was either
culled from the screen test or taken the same day.
Thanks for the info, JHause -
Best
