3/5 - PRE-EMPTED for the movie "Bad Boys 2" (it's Academy Awards
night - even NASCAR's Nextel Cup takes the weekend off)
3/12 - The Seemingly Never-Ending Story (HABF06)
While Homer is trapped in a cave, Lisa helps him pass the time by
telling a story, which turns into "22 Short Stories About Springfield"
3/19 - Bart Has Two Mommies (HABF07)
....specifically, Marge, who is busy watching the Flanders brothers (in
exchange for a computer Ned won but won't use) while Ned is away at a
left-handers convention, and Homer, who has to watch Bart and Lisa
while Marge is watching Rod and Todd - and ends up watching Bart get
himself held hostage by a monkey at an animal retirement home
STUFF for "My Fair Laddy" (HABF05)
----------------------------------
Written by Michael Price
Directed by Bob Anderson
Blackbaord: none
Couch: everybody rolls around as a clay ball, then become normal and
end up on the couch - along with Gumby (repeat of GABF16)
Special Guest Voice: Marcia Wallace
Also Starring: Pamela Hayden, Tress MacNeille, Russi Taylor,
Karl Wiedergott
Overseas Animation: Akom
TV rating: TV-PG-DLSV
REVIEW: B - this had some good ideas, but the main story seemed to
have a non-ending (instead of an "everything is back to normal" BBQ,
they had a dessert cart instead), and the pants story didn't go
anywhere at all, except for a lame joke about ads on Homer's body.
It might have been better had it strayed a little more from "My Fair
Lady".
REFERENCES
"My Fair Lady" (title; also, plot of making someone refined, and the
songs are based on songs from the musical)
"Gentle Ben" ("Genteel Ben's Guide to Etiquitte")
"Late Show with David Letterman" ("Worldwide Pants")
2F19 (Mrs. Pummelhorst)
EABF10 (Skinner mentions a sense of "once again everything is back to
where is started", similar to the "everything's back to normal BBQ")
DYNs
....Janey's last name is Henderson (as opposed to Hagstrom or Powell)?
....the Go-Kart track spells it "Go-Cart"?
....the coach's date planner had six-day weeks? (Normally, Saturdays
and Sundays share a "space")
....when Marge puts the retainers down the disposal, she doesn't turn
on the water?
....based on the Coach's date planner and Lisa's calendar, the episode
starts in December and lasts through at least January?
....Lisa has tic-tac-toe carpeting?
....the Simpson house now has a bathroom below the stairs?
....Lisa's sports wall had nothing to show for it from when she played
hockey?
....Selma is at the science fair, but Patty isn't? (Maybe Patty is
watching Ling while Selma is on the prowl for men?)
GOOFS / FREEZE FRAME / WHATNOT
Martin's surprise-measuring machine has a red-shaded zone at first,
but not when the needle is shown going all the way to the right in
the close-up.
Lisa's saxophone shouldn't fit into the freezer when it is put
together.
The patches on Homer's pants disappeared when he was at Moe's.
LYRICS to songs (titles appear in the closing credits)
(all songs credited to Alf Clausen and Michael Price)
-----------------------------------------------------
ADEQUATE
All I want is a place somewhere...
Oh, to have my shack rebuilt
Get my rotten teeth all drill't
Something on underneath me kilt
Oh, wouldn't it be adequate?
Matching shoes for both me feet
Dining on untainted meat
A toilet what still has its seat
Oh, wouldn't it be adequate?
Adequate - adequate
Wouldn't it be adequate?
NOT ON MY CLOTHES
What flows from the nose
Does not go on my clothes
(I think he's got it
Oh yes, he's got it)
What flows from the nose
Does not go on my clothes
(Gah! A talkin' mirror! Gah!)
Where is that ghastly flow?
The nose - the nose!
And where should it not go?
Blue pants - blue pants!
BLUE PANTS ALL MORNIN'
I'm gettin' blue pants in the morning
Ding dong, the zipper's gonna shine
INDOORS ALL NIGHT
I feel like I...
Could be indoors all night
Could use a fork and knife
And never soil my suit
I could be so polite
Start not a scene nor fight
And still not feel like a fruit
How very nice that there's no lice in my hair
And my toenails I don't bite
Now that I've reached the stage
Where I'm not full of rage
I could be indoors
Indoors all night
LONGING FOR THE SHACK
I've a fancy suit
And a clean white shirt
But I miss the days
When tractor fumes blew off my skirt
I was freezing cold
And I slept in mold
But I long for the shack where I lived
She was true to me
My old home of wood
And when I passed out from turpentine
She understood
Life was so sublime
Well, boo hoo, 'cause I'm
Hanging ferns in the shack where you lived

Looks like the Uncensored Family Album, Bart Simpson's Guide to Life,

Full Metal Jacket (movie) -- "What is your major malfunction?"
[3F18], [FABF21] -- Lisa and Martin compete in a school science fair
(any others?)
[7F05] "Baby Elephant Walk" heard
Homer's gambit of advertising the pants on his head is based on the
real-life case of Andrew Fischer of Omaha, Nebraska. Fischer auctioned
off advertising space on his forehead (for 30 days) on eBay. He received
$37,375 dollars to put on a temporary tattoo promoting a snoring remedy.
The resulting press coverage no doubt made the investment worthwhile.
Both Fischer and others have subsequently auctioned off further forehead
ads.
