When is this coming to DVD? I've heard that the sponsers demanded that
it never be shown again. It has something to do with sex and robots, or
something.

Sounds like a very short-lived British show called Hardwicke House,
which IIRC actually showed a more realistic depiction of school life
than any other show about school.
