OT: And now for something completely different... [message #218850] Di, 07 Februar 2006 16:47

In the tooting one's own horn department, I was interviewed on local TV
in Nashville about a murder case involving a lawyer who had once
clerked for a firm with which I was associated. To view, go to this
link:

Then click on the video that says, "lawyer reacts", and feel free to
critique my commentary ability. Tom Z: watch for the Chicago
connection to the story.

Hey, you've done that kind of thing before!

Nice appearance, Mark! Clear diction, slow speech, low pitch, relaxed
attitude...........all the qualities I was never able to muster when I
needed them.

Thanks for the positive feedback.

Mark! Good 'onya! Well done sir!

Err...but what's with the red tie?

;)

And any pub is good pub (I've heard) so Chicago comes out shining!

Good work :) And I'm always amazed at the cool careers that everyone
has here.

Thanks Tom. Glad you asked about the tie. I don't know if you can tell
from the video, but the blue and red symbols on the red tie are those
of the 8th Air Force. My dad was with the 95th Bomb Group stationed in
Horham, England, during WWII. I visited the Mighty Eighth Air Force
Museum in Savannah GA last summer and highly recommend it.

You look good. The anchors on that newscast are definitely
apparel-challenged, however.

My question is if you're a crime expert, don't all the loose ends and
ridiculous twists in the latest Bond films and books DRIVE YOU CRAZY?

I am not an expert on crime. I am a criminal lawyer. But then again,
that could be said of the entire bar.

My view of Bond films is that they are a fun ride. Yeah, you can drive
a truck through a lot of plot holes, but the journey is the thing.
