I just read Heir To The Empire and it has some people with borg implants.
Does anyone know if Star Wars used the word borg before Star Trek? The book
was published in 1991 and Star Trek TNG started in 1987.

Marvel Comics SW #7 (published about a decade before the Trek borg.)

"borg" is simply a shortened version of "cyborg", so it's probably been
around a lot longer than that as well.
