I know this is, like, my third post today, but I'm bored. Anyway, I
was wondering if anyone could tell me who sang on the recordings of
"Under the Mango Tree" from DN?
Lately, I've been acquiring the 2002 remastered soundtrack CD's. I've
got everything from DN through DAF, and everything from AVTAK through
DAD with the exceptions of LTK and the TND score CD. Naturally, I've
been playing around with burning Bond mix CD's, and I decided to split
it into three discs; 1962-1971, 1973-1985, and 1987-2006. For the
first disc (the only one I've been able to make so far), I supplemented
with tracks from the 30th Anniversary Limited Edition 2-disc set.
Alice Cooper's "The Man with the Golden Gun" is, at least, a historical
curiosity I'm interested in adding to the second "volume." I know that
during the Brosnan era there were various mixes of the theme songs
available as singles (including at least six versions of DAD, all of
which suck).
So my question, then, is what other recordings anyone knows about with
a direct or at least historically connected relationship to the James
Bond films. My goal is to create a few mix CDs that 1) represent a
historical survey of the music from over the years, but mostly 2) are
fun to play while driving.

There are a lot of songs that I'm sure other will tell you about, but
here's a link to Kym Mazelle's "Searching For The GoldenEye", which was
one of the dozens of songs that were submitted. You'll see why it was
never used!

BTW, "Under The Mango Tree" was sung by Diane Copeland.
