I've found the PERFECT band to do the theme to CR... [message #215808] Do, 02 Februar 2006 06:50

Hi gang,

No matter how we all feel about the movie, I think it is generally agreed
that DAD had a mediocre theme song that had to "grow" on you. Likewise,
TWINE had a interesting and enjoyable theme song that harkened back to
themes like YOLT. Well, I was thinking about who could perform a theme song
with a contemporary and classic feel at the same time. A versatile singer
or group, established but not so set in their ways they aren't willing to
try something risky and new.

Well, while going through my CDs tonight I came across my Evanescence
collection. Amy Lee has a voice that just won't quit lyrically and
emotionally. Listen to MY Immortal or Bring Me To Life and if you still
don't think she could pull off a Bond theme then listen to Whisper, Going
Under, Everybody's Fool, or Seether's Broken (featuring Amy Lee).

So, what do you all think?

Yeah, I like it but I was hoping for something akin to "Beautiful Stranger."

It's pretty good. YOLT is a favorite of mine though.

HECK NO! If I wanted crappy numetal, I'd listen to Slipknot. And the
female vocalist has been done to death in Bond themes. We haven't had a
guy since AVTAK, which was over 20 years ago.

Anyway, the only correct answer is Metallica, followed by Megadeth, the
Offspring, Ozzy, Rob Zombie, or KoRn. But I'll settle for Depeche Mode.

Metallica et. all. are generally to harsh for a Bond theme (although I like
all the groups you mentioned). How about Staind, then, if you want a mail
voice. I know "nu metal"...

Depeche Mode would be good.
