Please download it and listen to it. It mentions a quote from Albert
Broccoli's autobiography 'When The Snow Melts' regarding License To
Kill and a gritty Bond.
Casino Royale, a more gritty Daniel Craig Bond, and MG Wilson's new
remarks would seem to be at odds with that quote.

It worked fine for me. I first opened it without saving it. I wanted to make
sure that it was worth. It definitely has some good stuff in it as to what
Bond should be like. I'd date it around 1995 or so. It's comments about the
Licence to Kill film and how they wanted to go back to a bit lighter Bond
and they went to Pierce Brosnan in Goldeneye.

Hmmm. Still didn't work for me.
Anyway, why "go back?" I LIKE change in Bond films. There are over 20
of them already. I've already seen GF and OHMSS and LALD and FYEO and
TSWLM, etc, etc., so why would I want to go back? I can just watch
THOSE films again if I miss that kind of Bond. Who needs a rehash?
I like that the films of the different Bonds have different tones. (Or
I should say that I MISS having that.) I like that we have light comic
Bonds, serious Bonds, action-oriented Bonds, etc. Show me a different
take on Bond that I can contrast and compare with those earlier takes,
and then talk about on its own.
If Craig is just doing a Bond like Moore's or Connery's I'm going to be
PISSED!

--- Yeah, I'm all for new takes on Bond, too. Can't wait for a gay
Bond, Muslim Bond, space alien Bond...

--- Guess you'll be the one hogging up the men's room in the theater
since EON'll probably chicken out and go that route, regardless of what
illusionary hype is being spun to the contrary.

How about a new take on WQ with a worthwhile post?
