Stargate LOTR Reference [message #215347] Mi, 01 Februar 2006 16:56

Any Stargate fans who saw the LOTR reference in the last episode? It was
pretty funny. A scientist is trying to explain how to repeat a
communicaiotns signal from ship to ship. First he makes an analogy to the
scene in 101 Dalmations where the dogs send a message by barking from one
to the other. No one got it. Then he simply mentions Lord of the Rings
and everyone starts nodding their heads. He then explains the signal fire
scene, as fires were lit from Minas Tirith to Rohan.

Yes, it was a memorable moment in geekdom cross-pollination.

Actually it was another scientist on Earth. Does that mean they are
all geeks? :-o

They're scientists. They started out as geeks and never outgrew it.
Even Sam is a geekette.
