Production of the forthcoming James Bond film Casino Royale commenced
on Friday 27th January in Prague with principal photography starting on
Monday 30th January.
A special "preshoot Bond kick off party" was held on Saturday night at
9pm at the trendy Asian fusion restaurant "Hot" for all production
members present for the first leg of shooting in Prague.
Situated on Wenceslas Square, right in the heart of Prague, the
restraunt played host to over 300 guests including the new James Bond
007 Daniel Craig, as well as Eon Productions staff, the Still King
Films team who will are co-producing whilst in the Czech Republic, and
many members of the stunt team.
The top Bond brass were in attendance with producers Barbara Broccoli
and Michael G. Wilson, director Martin Campbell, editor Stuart Baird,
cinematographer Phil Meheux, production designer Peter Lamont, costumer
designer Lindy Hemming and executive producer Anthony Waye all present,
but no Bond girl - fueling rumours that the casting for the part is
still be be finalised.
Casino Royale production will move from Prague on February 16th to the
Bahamas, and will then move on to Italy, return to the Czech Republic
and then finally shift to Pinewood Studios in England for two weeks
with principal photography scheduled to wrap in July.

Interesting - IIRC previous reports suggested they'd only be filming at
Pinewood for one week.
Thanks also for the guest list, which I trawled for clues - not that I
found any...

Not really, considering that most movies are not shot in sequence.

the Bahaman/Madagascan) section of the film.

Thanks, Mac.
Of course movies tend to be shot out of sequence, but the reports state
that the Bahaman/Madagascan location is the setting for the PCS - hence
my assumption that this location features in the early part of the
movie and Vesper won't appear until a later point. (In a way it's
hardly worth remarking on, since only two 'primary' Bond girls I can
think of appear in the PCSs of the films in which they feature, and
some don't even turn up until more than halfway through...)

Oops. Looking back again I can see that my first message in this
thread didn't read exactly as I'd intended. I was, as Mac surmised,
talking about the Bahaman/Madagascan location to which the film is
going to move on February 16, but it probably read as if I was talking
about the current location in Prague. Sorry about that...

Same thing, isn't it? Vesper obviously doesn't feature in the block
they're currently filming, wherever in the wide-world-of-sports it
is (or is supposed to be).

Well, there could be scenes in Prague after Vesper's first appearance
in the script - but without Vesper - which they're filming now before
heading off to the Bahamas to do the PCS. However, you've almost
certainly taken that into account, and I think I'm doing nothing more
than confusing myself now...
