This time based on global gross...the distinction of the only
movie series to have three of the nine biggest-grossing films
worldwide has changed hands,OUT of PJ's.
NO MAN (OR WOMAN) COMETH TO MIDDLE-EARTH SAVE THROUGH THE *BOOKS!!*

Not crossposted to AFH-P?
Why? When we could have had this wonderful long cross-post war about
which of the film-adaptations was worst, spiced up with the indignant
defences from those who happen to like one or the other (or both) >:->
I suppose it's indicative of something that I can get upset by the
deviations in characters and themes in the LotR films, and yet find
myself unable to care about the deviations in the Potter film (unlike
many other Potter fans, whose vitriol against the creators of the GoF
film is no less that what we saw after the last of the LotR films).

I can't get worked up about the deviations in the Potter films either. Oh,
wait a minute - I don't get worked up about the deviations in LOTR, either!

Well,if I cared as much about Potter as I do about Tolkien I'd be
furious about the changes in Potter and not wish Potter films all
luck in exceeding the success of attempts to film Tolkien...but I
see Tolkien books as having too much quality for a forgivably large
fraction to survive adaptation, while Potter books are not so great.
Changing Potter is a misdemeanor, changing Tolkien an A-class felony.

Given the amount you've posting about it I expected a murder charge.
