shifting criticism... [message #204677] Mo, 23 Januar 2006 03:22
Zarris
*looks around nervously* err,,, descided to do a ,, post here of
something... since its been rather quiet here and all... last time i
spoke of this was roughly a year ago:

http://groups.google.com/group/alt.fan.dragons/browse_thread /thread/20b71e236bc62fff/dcc5a703d73831f5?q=author%3Azarris& amp;hl=en&
(second from bottom)

much has happened since then, and i felt maybe its time to see if anyone
else had some comments, (de)constructive criticism, ideas, knolege of
such happenings and maybe what their results are (oobe, projecting), or
anything else...
so here are my,, *looks around very nervously*,, shifting attempts that
actually had happenings (as directly extracted from my journal
(hopefully it wont be too long for here)):

November 29th, 2005:

basically started with me just laying there letting my mind wander a
bit... basically giving me a mental slideshow of some of the images i
had found on deviantart earlier... this went on with me also thinking
idly about nothing in particular.... but suddenly i was jolted mentally
full awake again,,, though my eyes stayed shut,,, everything was blank,,
which that never really is with me,, something always is envisioned....
i was wondering what the heck that was, when suddenly i had one of those
dissolving body episodes,, but this one was slightly different,,,
instead of a energy feeling like the last was,,, this was more soft... i
thought of it as a white mist or smoke tightly enveloping my limbs and
body.... it was very soft,,, it continued uuntil i couldn't feel
anything specifically... but it only occurred from the shouders down...
not my head (which dissapoints me)... it turned my complete confusion
into some sort of gidddy happiness,,, not that i could do anything,,, i
couldnt... was a great strain and effort to just envision anything...
movemnt was out since to me my body didn't really exist all that much...
but i couldn't think of anything to do that might actually do
something.... then after what may been a minute or it could just been 30
seconds... it quickly faded and i was left feeling quite awake,, just
laying there.... i remember thinking that i should have envisioned an
action and not a thing... which i keep doing.... so i imediatlky tried
to reproduce the steps,, but fell asleep instead,,, waking up to rain
the next morning................................. i really think that
something might have happened,,, but im not too sure... but it did
change my mood around.... i probably be certain about it if my head was
involved...

.... im not sure what to think............ this anything or not?

---

December 2nd, 2005:

had another one of those wierd funky things i posted 2 entries back...
this time it was light purple and blue and more fibrous making it less
soft... but it occured rather quickly and died quickly too... course i
accidently killed it making myself move... so then it only existed on my
arms and feet... they died quickly too... guess should say i
experimented with it,,, doesnt seem connected with anything astral,
course i probably dont know better,,, and it seems to deny mental
imaging,,, but it ignores anything that does image.... dont know what it
is,,, there is a chance that it could be a normal thing that normnally
occures when one is asleep,,, since it appears at the sleep threshold it
seems... but then both times it occured i was regained consciousness not
of my will to experience it.... *shrugs*... anyway,, hope it is what i
hope it is....

---

December 14th, 2005:

figured out how those weird things work! and to think it was very simple
to get it to happen. just drew images on the back of my eyelids with my
mind,, it was enough to send the 'annoying' portion of my mind into the
background. which then caused my body to get quite relaxed (and limp)
though i was still very conscious. the way that it felt moreorless
supports that it is just part of normally going to sleep, but still
worth trying to build upon... also did get the white feeling back,
though it was consentrated on my arms and chest (had my arms laying
accross my chest). quite weird it was since i couldnt feel anything with
them. i knew my arms were in contact with my chest yet my chest didnt
feel my arms and my arms didnt feel my chest... i also tried another
method to see if it trigered anything,, i asked nicely... didnt work it
seems...
least this appears to be the right direction (fully and clear conscious,
relaxed and unfeeling body), if only it seems to be the first step..
just need to figure out what comes next,,, course it may also be that im
doing it at the wrong time,,, maybe doing it at night isnt allowing
there to be enough energy (since one is usually tired at night)... maybe
should be tried in the morning,, though that may bring complications on
trying to get relaxed and stuff... though morning usually has the peak
of ones energy...
least i seem to be figuring things out after that lull

---

December 16th, 2005:

....hmmm... so if this is the first step,, whats next?.. ive thought a
bit and the only logical idea is to gather energy.......... ok,,,, how
the hell do i do that, and where the hell do i get if from?... i dont
have the slightest clue how, but where may have an answer....
sunlight..... little inconvienient that its freezing outside... though i
got a window that allows a bit directly in... rightnow though its under
my computer desk................ wish i knew just a bit more on the
subject,,, going into this completely blind..... have to search about.....
as to that first step, i mentioned that it might been better to try in
the morning,, well yesterday i did,,, failed though,, took a long time
to relax, but even then the 'shroud' failed to appear,, just the normal
nerve buzz.... also became very exhausted for some reason afterward...
course could just been that fact that it was cloudy, and began to rain,
plus cold too... my energy seems to have always been afffected by the
weather,, appears to be herediatry though,, mom has it possibly a bit
worse than me. she actuially fals asleep if it gets cloudy for long....
though ive also had thought that that first step may also be the way for
travelling to other planes... be worth a try.. something else to figure
out.... last night was a full moon,,, hopefully it isnt have to do with
that like stories do,,,, hmmm.. still got a bit of work to do it
appears.. only guess after 'step two' would be to get the energy to do
what i want it to do,, change my form.... probably couple more steps
between though.,.. will get there eventually...
been kindof wondering if it would be the wisest thing to do to change in
the middle of winter,,, not exactly wanting to freeze to death the first
night... guess ill manage....

---

January 22nd, 2006:

as something good to get back to (obviouslky things havnt been going
well the last few days), i attempted to try out shifting again lastnight
as i was in bed... since i hadnt been doing it much lately, i had to go
back to the beginning mostly. went back to the mental 'chanting',, not
really chanting i dont think, but mainly repeating a singleword
encouragement mixed with words to slow and regulate my breathing...
things happened soon and quickly.. infact it was so different that i
actually had giddy excitement that it was finally happening.. kindof
hard to explaine what exactly occured,, not quite sure now if it was
something or not,, but i could describe it as a extreme case of nerve
static.. basically some weird feeling that could be reminded of tv
static put into physical feeling.. it quickly engulfed my entire body
and escalated to a strength that blocked all normal nerve sensations. i
could only sence my body in the weird way that you know where your limbs
are when you cant see them.. which is odd casue i couldnt feel them to
make that accurate?.. and also was enough to cause my ears to begin
ringing very loudly.. and somewhere around that point that something
changed.. i dont know what,, but it scared the crap out of me and pretty
much told it to go away.. oddly enough when that was over,, my body was
completely calm,, heart slow and steady, breathing slow and steady,, yet
i was rather shaken up inside... interesting confict there..... about
the only thing i can think to describe that chnge is 'im not me'....
afterward i practically scolded myself for stopping it.... but i couldnt
get myself together to get anything working again that night... although
i remembered a previous idea that i dont know has been spoken of here or
not,, but it was a time where i just commanded myself by mentally
exclaiming 'shift!',, wierd things happened including a energy burst and
an answer that basically meant that something (a who what where or how)
was missing.. maybe adding that to that weird climax might boost it,
that is if i can figure out what needs explaining...
....'im not me'... ... could it mean that since it would be the first
time,m that maybe that meant that being outside this human body would
make that seem 'not me'? could it mean that what i would have shifted
into would have not been 'me'? could it mean that another being was
trying to intervene either helpfully or destructively?... i should try
that method again,, see if i can get the same results....

-----

um,, yep,, thats them,, most of them anyway.... yeah... *sneaks away*

Didn't read Zarris' humongous post (mostly from still trying to catch up)
but I think I get the gist of what Vincent's trying to say. My beliefs
(which I've stated before and will again, I'm sure) are this: Tell me
something exists, I'll believe you. Tell me something doesn't exist,
I'll demand proof. And a lack of proof is not proof of a lack.
