I am new at news groups,so here goes.I am a fifty-two year old believer
in dragons.I am getting teary eyed while typing this.It seems to be a
very engrained part of who I am.Not just Dragons alsoUnicorns, and all
of the fairy folk.
I started collecting Dragons years ago, however my feelings towards
Dragons deepened when one appeared to me in a dream several years ago.I
won't bore you with the details. She said her name was",Nadetha".
I have since then felt that she is out there somewhere watching over
me.

Love to all,

Oh, please bore us with the details. I'm sure most here would be more
than happy to hear it. Unless, of course, you'd *rather* keep it to
yourself, in which case, forget I asked.

It's good to feel protected, isn't it?

It's good to have people believe in us. *Really* good to be thought

Please, tell us the details. Dreams can be very interesting things to
discuss.

I dream of a dragon fairly often. The dragon never tells me his name; I
have only recently realized that he never needed to because he is me. I
don't remember very many details about my dream (I think it's
recurring), just that I have wings and want to fly but never can.

Hi to you Darkside,
Well here goes. i want to give you alittle background on what was
going on in my life at the time of the dream.I had joined the Mormon
Church when I was going on Twenty. After twenty -eight years of
membership I started questioning alot of things.I felt like I had
started a Spirtial Quest and I was not sure of where it would lead. One
night I had my dream.
My favorite place to go in the summer is Wisconsin's Bristol
Reniassace Faire.Yes,I go in Grab. That is were my dream of Nadetha took
place. There is an area where there is a Milatary Encampment. That is
where I was set up. This was before the faire opened and the dream did
not show how I got in or who help me to set up my tent and haul in the
cooler with my food and other items.
The dream started with me seated outside the tent playing one of my
Celtic Music CDs on a Boombox.I believe it was a Nature Quest one.
Anyway,I turned it off and got up to walk around awhile.I have for some
years felt something magical about Bristol.I still felt it though not
as strong as when thhe palce was full of people. After awhile I went
back to my area.
I sat down again and thought in a prayerful manner what I was going
through . I felt that the path that I was on might lead me way from the
Mormon Church.I felt alittle bit sad at this.
I was thinking of Dragons. When I was having a rough day at the place
were I worked at that time, what I would think of as a Dragon day,I
would go and get one of the toy Pocket Dragons they sold.I put Specs
by my register and felt better right away.Yes,I did buy Specs.I would
call him my gurdian dragon.
I was remebering what a comfort that was to me and how I really did
believe in Dragons and what a great joy and honor it would be to see
one.
Suddenly there she was.Oh, I am in tears right now.She was
beautiful. She siad that her name was Nadetha. She said that because of
my strong believe in and love of Dragons that she could not stay away.I
bowed before her and with tears in my eyes thanked her for her great
gift.
There is alot more to the dream, but I will leave this.
I do believe and I will with my last breath.
My love to you,oh darkside.

A faire goer you say? As am I good lady 'tho Bristol is yet a distant trip.
TRf is my home faire with visitations to Colarado and Minnesota. Dragons
are always at faire because of their acceptance by most at faire and the
peace surrounding faires. I also try to walk early mornings before all the
crowds arrive and sometimes can find that inner peace. Blessings and
pleasant dreams be upon you.

Tis most wonderous to know dragons. The young tend to love dragons. It
seems to be the adults who misunderstand. My friend attended Bristol years
ago and one vendor has shop there. Do you know Dra and her clothes of
relaxation and magic? She helped me get through a time of sorrow and Ihonor
her always as a dragon should. My family is across the land and this makes
faire difficult for all. It sounds great that your family can enjoy faire.

I think so .Keith and I have talked to many of the vendors over the
years. You are a Dragon?I have alot of questions to ask if you do not
mind answering. Most of my limted knowledge of Dragons comes from
readind what few books I have. From what I've read Dragons can take on
human form.
I've been awake since 4:30 this morning and I also worked.I am getting
sleepy. If you are willing to anser some questions I wanted to wait til
I am clear-minded enough to ask them in the right way. That way
hopefully I would not offend you.The only Dragon I have talked to is
the Dragon that appeared in my dream,Nadetha.
The thought of chatting with a Dragon is alittle, wow! I've got to wrap
my mind around this alittle. With all the changes I have been going
through since I've turned fifty, this has become normal.
If you want to read about my dream,it was posted jan.20.

There are many Here who are dragons. I include myself in that number,
although we don't exactly change form... we're pretty stuck in human
bodies. I'm working on fixing that, though.

Hello to you Luxatos,
Thank you for your reply.Stuck in Human form?!! How did that happen?!
I linked to this group off of Baxil's site on Dragonity when I was
looking up Dragon Magic using Google. After checking things out I
decided to join this news group.I was hoping to chat with other Dragon
lovers.Suddenly I'm chatting with Dragons!!
That is why I have so many Questions that it seems that many of you are

before I post them.
As I said I do not want to offend anyone.

I think that you'll find, when you ask the inevitable question "what do
you mean you're a dragon?", is that there are almost as many answers as
there are those of us who call ourselves dragons. For someof us, it's a
feeling of strong dysphoria, dreams about flying and flexing, perhaps
meditations that lead us to visions of our dragon selves.

I don't prescribe to the "trapped in human form" idea. I do have very
strong feelings of *wanting* to be in dragon form, but I've also got a
feeling that there's a good reason I'm here now, and that I probably chose
this form. Many dragons take the role of protectors (as you've no doubt
discovered!), and I have a feeling I'm here to learn about my role as
that. I'm also fairly certain I've been human before now.

Dragons these days come in many shapes and sizes. According to many
legends, dragons can take human form. It seems that we often do it for
entire lifetimes. Some dragons, though, exist on a plane just outside the
physical (many people call it the astral, but I'll avoid that term for
now). My theory is that the only difference between that plane and this
one is perception. The reason dragons "exist" in legend, but most
people don't see them now, is a narrowing of perception. We only see a
narrow band of the entire scope of reality, and there are many dragons
outside our perception. A major purpose of mysticism is to expand that
perception. I've been lucky enough to meet a few dragons in their own
forms; they are often found in natural places where there is a lot
of... energy, for lack of a better word.

So, following my theory, if you could expand your waking perception
enough, it would probably be apparent that there are a lot more of us
than "meets the eye." I don't think that I am trapped; just that I am
here. The spirit and the physical exist in the same place, after all.

And now, I've said quite a lot, and some of it is doubtless poorly
worded, so I will await comments and questions. I'd be especially eager
to hear whether any of the others here disagree with my assessment, as
I've never really shared it in depth (been meaning to write this for a
while).

Poorly worded or not, it is very well put and follows well my own
feelings. I too do not feel trapped, I simply 'am'. I AM dragon and I
AM human and I have had vivid dreams in both forms. My essence, I
feel, is Dragon; my form is human...for the moment.

putting to words something that is so personal, emotional, and by it's
nature alone rather difficult to explain; is...chalanging at best.

I agree. Every night I feel like I'm flying with my human form on my
back. Therefore I'm not constrained to just "role-playing" as a dragon
I feel like I AM a dragon :)

Most of us here are dragons. Chances are, whoever you're talking with is a
dragon, with a few exceptions.

Thank you so much for your reply.Yes,it does somewhat make since to
me.By saying,"stuck in human form",I meant a dragon who can not change
back to Dragon Form.
Do many of you fell that you were once Dragons in a past life?
Okay, maybe not on the same plain but maybe in a way I can relate to.I
relate to myself as Celtic Lady.I have afew good books on the Celts.I
also love Celtic Music and have alot of Celtic Music Cds.
I tryed to understand what my feeling that I am a Celt means, but it
just hurt my brain.Left me more confused.I decided that I just am.
I don't 100% believe in past lives,however sometimes I do wonder.When I
hear Galic being sung is is if I should know the words, but I just can't
understand them.
Also I know that Bristol is a Manmade Fantasy Realm,however I feel,"at
home",there.Sometimes more then here at my own home.I feel
totaly,"me',there. When I see myself in my costume I feel like I am
looking at how I am supposed to look.
When I take every thing off at the end of a Faire day I feel like I am
taking off a part of my true self.
Okay, maybe not along the same lines but it sure felt good to share
that with someone who wouldn't think I has wacked.
Much love to all,Celtic Lady, also knowen as Susann

Understood very well Vincent.I just posted to Darkside about my
feelings of being Celitic. It is what I strongly feel I AM. Also sort
of Earth Mother.I am a Mom,I have three sons.However it goes deeper.It
is a feeing that all those that I deeply love and care for become my
Children. That is why I chose the Goddess Path,it fit how I feel.
There was something else that I want to add,but i stoped typing of
awhile to chat with my mother on the phone and forgot what I wanted to
say.
Anyway,love to you,

I too feel...born of an older time...I feel connected to the celtic
and galic peoples. I think it has someting to do with those peoples
connection to Earth and my own spiritual connection to Earth and
nature; and my empathy with living things..I speak cat and dog quite
well, and have been known to carry on conversations with the wild song
birds. It's an amazing feeling when one lands on your hand and starts
'speaking' to you :>

Heh. No, it wasn't something that happened, it's just something that
is. I'm a dragon in most regards... just not in body. Perhaps at one
time I was physically dragon. If so, my only memory is the spiritual
echo of that existance, the feeling that I am dragon, despite what my
body says.

My personal belief isn't necessarily in a past life /per se/... but
that the spirit can live through the lives and deaths of several
physical bodies, without dying itself.

A request, if you please? Could you quote some relevant text? In Google
Groups, I believe you select "Options" in the header row, then "Reply"
from there, but I could be wrong. But it's much, much easier to follow
along when you know what's being responded to.

> Do many of you fell that you were once Dragons in a past life?

In my case, I never died, but was torn from my trueform. Thus, I'm still
alive and in my first life, just stuck in a human host. And apologies
for any human bashing I might do, but I tend to get really frustrated at
times.

I would suggest that, when that happens, you don't try, but let your mind
wander, if it's safe to do so. You might be over-analyzing things and
preventing yourself from digging deep down inside.

None of us here would think you were wacked out, but if they do, I say
who cares? I know who and what I am, and nobody and nothing is ever
going to change that, so if others have a problem with it then it's just
that -- their problem, not mine.

I get the feeling that I am out of place and or time a lot. I am not
sure about past lifes, but I do feel..old. I was always told that I
had an old soul, or that I seemed older than I was as a child. Echos
of memory stir in the haze of my sub-conscious; always out of

I absolutely *love* Blackmore's Night. I originally found them because
the guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore, was the guitarist for Deep Purple.
Also, they've got a song with Ian Anderson as guest-flautist that just
rocks. It's great to see older musicians still doing great stuff.

I traditionally play Renaissance Faire every year as I drive toward the
local RenFaire. I've got a CD of songs that I put in with about 20
minutes left in the drive. Helps me get ready, I guess.

If you're asking, "people" is a correct term. I don't think anyone here
would take objection to it, simply because it's easier than inventing
new words.

(begin official I-promise-I'm-not-being-mean block)
And I hate to be repetitive, but like Flame Stryke said, it's considered
proper netiquette to quote the part of the message to which you're
responding. It helps people follow what you're saying when they come in
to the conversation half way. Not everyone's newsreader displays posts
you've already read, and then they wouldn't know what was going on!

Basically, look at how everyone here is posting, and follow their examples.

For more information on netiquette guidelines, you can read RFC 1855:
http://www.dtcc.edu/cs/rfc1855.html
(end official I-promise-I'm-not-being-mean block)

....but it's kinda boring...

I grew old too fast and yet I am also still childlike.
A rough childhood and almost dying at 15 then struggling after that
with a nasty disease ( I have Crohn's Disease) made me old fast.
However I also still feel like a kid inside, you know.
I don't know, it's hard to explain. I think it has a lot to do with
