Captain Kirk is gay. How can you all get so excited over someone with
wierd pointy ears like that Spock guy. Do any of you try to talk cling
on? I watched that drek once, forget about it. Don't understand how
y'all devote your life to it.

You're a broken record. The world is not a fair place in general, you
could find many better causes to crusade against.

I disagree with this. Sure some of the characters in the Star wars universe
are "gay" like spock. But what about some of the good ones, like Commander
Sisco, Professor Dumbledor, and Mr. Frodo? You cannot discount the entire
Star wars universe just because of Captain Kirk and Spock. That's like me
saying I hate football just because I don't like the Bruins. There's still
the Mets and players like Body Miller that redeem the bad aspects of the
sport.

My advice, stop judging the entire series based on just a few things you've
seen. Rent Star Wars II the Wrath of Khan, and Star Wars X: The new batch
before rushing to judgement.

I agree with the OP. I have a lot of gay friends, and they all agree
that "Star Wars" is gay; the relationship between Captain Kirk and
Spock is the epitome of homosexuality. There is no better
representation of any subclass of society than "Star Wars" for the
gays. I am not homosexual, myself, but I still have to ask why I find
myself laying in bed, night after night, longing to learn "cling on"
as a second language? I don't understand this. Why am I feeling such
confusion inside me? Why do I get so excited at the sight of pointy
ears? Why would I devote my life to "Star Wars" if I am clearly not
gay? Oh, what a tormented creature I am!

I detect a certain cheek in some of this. The obvious gaffe is, of
course, saying Kirk and crew are in the Star WARS universe. I know some
of you are being deliberately obtuse in this regard. Come off of it.
Lucas, Paramount and 20th Century Fox haven't worked out a licensing
deal, yet. So no cheesy crossover movie, or even comic book, has been
officially sanctioned. So Kirk dom't get to fight Darth Vader...yet. Or
C3PO put the moves on Data. And R2D2 gets jealous...

Commander Sisco is obviously not gay. He had that cool "Thong Song" a few

Yeah, really. Apparently, some people regard this whole thing as some
joke. Won of my all time favourite movie scenes is when Captain Sulu
becomes frozen in carbonite. And when I heard that the actor who
played him, George Harrison, "came out" a few months back and admitted
to being gay, I wept openly for a brief moment. Go ahead and mock me
if you want, but I think it's a great thing when a beloved actor with
such a wide fanbase as his can admit to the public that he is (and
always was) a gay.

I think this is the closest I have come to crapping myself in ages! Thank
goodness for selfless souls like Mr. Bungle who are willing to put their

Now I think I need to get back to watching that British drama "I, Darth
Vader" with Patrick Stewart as Tiberius's rising Guard in the spice war and
John Rhys-Davies as the Grumpy Old Troll who aids Caligula in search of the
Holy Grail......

Gay?
Where's your grounds to prove it?
If you have a ship, and you get along with the members of your
crew, to the point of best of friends, things just work better.
Go in to war with a crew that hates each other, they might all
end up dead.

Hm.

Mixing "Star Wars" with "Star Trek"?
That's sooooo, dumb.
What do you think would happen if say,
a Borg ship came up against the DS2?
Do to the difference in power between weapons from
"Star Wars" to "Star Trek"
The Borg wouldn't have enough time to do anything but die.
Another difference is Star Trek is more of an idea of what some
things will be like in the future, where's Star Wars is not.

Thanks.
As I said though, Star Trek is more of an idea of what
things may look like in the future.
Of course, I also posted a link to prove that we are starting
to understand how some things may work in the future.
It's possible that is the beginning of the warp drive.
