Dragon movies, hm? Do they have to be good? :)

1)Dragonheart
2)Pete's Dragon
3)The Never-Ending Story (only the 1st, I hear the sequels are crap)

I'm sure I'll think of more later.

Well, when the movie Eragon is released, that should be good. Well, as
long as the book is anything like the movie.

Dragonslayer - decent movie, although the title gives away the dragon's
eventual fate...

Flight of Dragons - OK kids' movie, animated, based on books by Peter
Dickinson and Gordon Dickson.

I can't believe they weren't at the beginning of the list. Frankly,
the antagonist of Dragonslayer is still the best movie depiction I've
seen. She might be the bad guy, but arguably, she's just protecting
her family...

True. IMHO, Dragonslayer is the best movie I've seen with a dragon in a
major role. I think Dragonheart is a bit more popular on this newsgroup
since the dragon is the good guy, but despite the excellent CGI I thought
the movie itself was only so-so. Draco also seemed a bit too...human,
although I suppose that's simply a consequence of making a dragon a major
(speaking) character in a Hollywood film.

That said, "I merely chewed in self-defense" is a great line. ]:-8)~

As far as I (as an actor) am concerned, being the bad guy can be really
fun! ;) lol.

I have a phrase that I (as a writer) like to use: "The Devil always
gets the best lines."
