The Silmarillion CotW page has been updated:
http://parasha.maoltuile.org
I'm also commenting here on something raised in another thread.

Sorry to take so long to reply to this.
I agree that slower might get more quality (and more responses full
stop), but there has already been a break in the schedule (admittedly
not a full week) to allow people to catch up, and no catching up seemed
to have been done. I think people should catch up when they can.
I'm slowly catching up again, after a busy few weeks. I'm now only two
chapters behind! In the chapter-of-the-week threads that is. In my
re-reading of the book, I've <ahem> got slightly further ahead.... :-)
There is a scheduled break at the beginning of January. So what do
people think?
Go slower?
Have a break for catching up?
Keep going as normal?
Christopher

You might find that the activity may pick up as we reach the meatier
parts of the story, ie. when the Noldor return to Middle Earth. The
ME stories are closer in tone to LotR, while the earlier parts are
still 'setting the mood', so to speak. Hence only the hardcore
Tolkien-nuts discuss the theology of the world, but the War of the
Jewels is more mainstream, if anything in Silm can be called
mainstream.
That said, I'd like to see more from Steuard, Stan and other
heavyweights, but I guess they've already gone through the stuff
we're just now exploring.
Methinks I'll set xnews to retain posts instead of discarding, so I
can follow up at a later date.

No, no, it's not that! Though I guess there's something to be said
for giving everyone a chance to think through all these things on
their own without "heavyweights" around as a source of all the
answers. (But would they be _right_ answers? :) )
In fact, I'm in the midst of sending out a whole bunch of applications
in the hope of having a job after I graduate this coming summer, and
I'm still trying to get more actual research done (I'll need to finish
more before I can write my thesis), and just in general Real Life has
been tremendously busy for me in the past few months.
I really have wanted to participate in the CotW discussions
(particularly for Silm., where I think I'd have the opportunity to
learn a lot from other peoples' take on things and where I think I'd
have valuable insights to contribute as a long-term participant in
these groups). But sad as it makes me, my priorities are pretty clear
for now, and I know how very easy it is for me to get sucked in to the
fascinating discussions that we have here. So with some effort (and
much regret), I'm managing to stay away. Maybe once the current round
of job applications is over I'll have a bit more time.
Meanwhile, I've been really glad to see that Conrad has been back to
participate at least a little bit (he's as much a "heavyweight" as
anyone). And maybe once these CotW discussions are finished (I hope
the go on at least through /Unfinished Tales/!), some of you slightly
newer folks will be willing to recognize _yourselves_ as heavyweights,
too. :)

As long as people keep reading and following the old threads I guess
we can go as planned. I'm done with finals so this weekend I'm hoping
to start catching up on chapters 3 and 5.

"Heavyweights"? Hmphh -- and after all that time I've been spending
in the gym. :-)
Seriously, I've been off line almost continuously since 04 Dec, but
it looks like the computer problems are now resolved. I don't know
that I'll have all that much to say on the chapters that hasn't
already been said, but I'm sue I have quite a bit to learn.
