I don't think there's a set time period; fermentation is simply the process
of changing from an Olde Fruite to an Olde Whine. ]:-8)~ When you start
mumbling about how things used to be, that might be in indication, but I
think in general this distinction is a lot more ambiguous than the
fruit/nut one.

(Have I fermented yet? I've been around a while, but I'm still not
sure...)

Well then. I haven't although Here has changed since my earlier days. I do
consider those with 10 years plus as fermented. Wyrm comes to mind.

Fermenting dragons tend to rise in the yeast of a morning.....
and go west later on

Hmm, i guess i'm fermenting then...though i'd say it's still to early to
call me an "Olde Whine"...

You don't complain about stuff nearly often enough to be a whine,
Pyros. ;)

I could start, if you think it would help... ];-8)~

Come to think of it, you don't complain about things very often either,
although I'd certainly consider you fermented. (That's intended as a
compliment, in case it wasn't clear. ];-8)~ )

What harm could it do? O:)

Taken as such. :) I've moaned on occasion (yesterday was an
example) but, more importantly, I've waxed lyrical about times past.
As you'll probably recall, I've always expressed the opinion that
change isn't necessarily a bad thing in an evolving community, but
that rose-tint in my spectacles is sometimes hard to ignore.
