I second that! Last time they were here in force some of them were
using anonymous remailers and were trying to flood the group. That was
a few years ago though, and we got rid of them by getting those
remailers banned from access to the group.

Nope, different place. But I found it. I tend to start at the top and
read straight through, so you're more than likely to catch me. I usually
don't look at subject lines anyway, since they're usually only relevant
for the first few blank lines between headers and the actual post.....

I have things sorted into threads so I read all of a thread (in order)
before the next thread. Threads are sorted by date, older ones up top.

No, I need the cheer to go away so I can get into the post office.

Niether do I, but when my newsreader in the newsgroup pane (where it
puts a list of hte messages, plus who sent it and when) says a post is
from Viri and then the post is signed by Hex, it gets to be a chore to
read the newsroup (I have to look at the original header for subject
and sender).

I heard that our "local" maul ran out of parking.
Of course, it is the second largest maul in hte country that gets as
much buiness all year long as most other mauls get in December.

Not quite. Our maul has no such attraction. Unless you count the two
(three?) Starbucks.
