Hi, a little while ago, I downloaded the original series of The
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy which used to air a loooooooong time
ago. I revisited the website, but now, it seems that the files aren't
there anymore. Can anybody please provide a working link to where I
might be able to download the radio shows? The link where I originally
found them was:
http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/cgi-bin/h-browse?dir=/pub/.arch-downl oad/hhgttg
I tried accessing it in Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer but I
just get an empty listing. I did a search for Hitchhiker's Guide on
the FTP but all I get is just some Hitchhiker's Guide to OS/2 or
something.

The reason they're not there any longer is because the site's owner was
violating the BBC's copyright. You're probably about to be admonished for
having downloaded them in the first place and told to purchase them.

http://www.bbcshop.com/ has the radio series in every incarnation you
can think of (well, if you're thinking of CDs) and a whole shedload of
other cool stuff.
http://www.bbcshop.com/invt/0563477024&bklist=%3Cvenda_b klist1%3E is the
link to the boxset of the two original series and Douglas Adams' Guide
To The Hitchhiker's Guide.
