Yes let's all pretend that the original trilogy was only good in retrospect
and that the millions of people who hated the latest three movies are
blinded by some form of mass nostalgic psychosis, unable to determine in
hindsight whether the original movies were actually good or only good
because we saw them 20 years ago. It's strange that in order to defend three
awful movies the people in this group will discredit 2 works of art (and 1
ok movie).
Count me out, I saw the originals for the first time when I was 17, when
they were re-released in theaters (my dork brother convinced me to go). To
all the people confused as to whether they only liked the original movies
because they were children: trust me, they are good for adults too.

People should be allowed to like whatever movies they like and not like
what ever movies they don't like for whatever reasons they have and not
be criticized or berated for it, or depicted as having some side
motive. For the record I loved the first three movies and also saw
them after I was 17, not as a 'kid', and thought ROTS was fantastic and
now my favorite, the remaining two were ehhhhh, ok.
Quit framing people who badmouth a movie as 'discrediting' it while in
the same breath calling the new movies awful yourself. I could say you
are discrediting them too... but I won't.
