Yes, I thought it was something like that. Probably something like
pulling the stored folder into the froup by mistake. Oh, well, although
reruns are never the best, some of the messages were fun to re-read :-)

Yrgh! I just managed to avoid cross-posting this! To all the rest of
you, notice this was posted to three groups... (or at least two groups

Sorry for the 'harsh' treatment Foley, Eddies happen. The next one'll be to

Eddies shouldn't be put in the time-space continuum. They might
trigger an unusual large amount of improbability.

Not very likely. Besides, there's an awfull lot of space and time in the
time-space continum, which could lead to the assumption, that the vastness
of infinity itself suggests time and space partially consists of time and
space Eddies.

The only Eddie I've known moved away. I am not sure whether he was a
time or space Eddie...

As he moved physically away I guess he might be a space Eddie.

Ah, but does ho not also move in time, hmmm?

If you have known an Eddie who stood still at the same point in time,
that sounds seriously scary. Especially since he moved in space...

I mostly meant moving _freely_ around in time, I think.

I mean, I move in time but somehow I have been unable to move faster
forwards in time or backwards in time. I did try on a few occasions
but I just guess I haven't found the technique yet...

Could happen, I suppose, though it'd be a very brief encounter.

Imagine, if You can, meeting someone moving slightly faster forward in time
than you. I don't think you'd find that 'someone' very interesting,
generally speaking.
I tried 'speed' in my youthier youth, but it somehow compromised my social
life.

Besides, there's the infallible campaign of real time. They're right, you

Could be the 'known' universe itself is an Eddie in a more wholesome fixed
universe.

I find that moving forwards in time happens much faster than moving
backwards in time. But that's just from a personal perspective, YMMV.

What I meant was that I'm moving forwards in time at a rate of
approximately one second per second. This is much faster than the rate
at which I've been able to achieve heading backwards in time (which
I've never succeeded in doing).

If you see what I mean. ;-)

Well well - I would have expected you British folk to move forward at
1,209,600 seconds per forthnight or something weird like that :-)

Well, no. Actually diverting in any way from the usual rate of movement
seems rather impossible to me. Maybe I just need to practice more.

One could use the relativity stuff by Einstein to recalculate time to
tea equivalents.

"Hurry. Christmas is in only 5.1 tea equivalent. We are going to be
0.21 tea equivalents late."

Heh!

You don't think it's sufficiently bonkers that there are 60 seconds in
a minute, instead of (say) 100?

No? Are you implying that, actually, I have achieved a faster rate of
backwards-time travel than a second per second?

....

Hmm... wouldn't a backwards rate of precisely one second per second
equate to "not moving in time at all"? Hmm....

>Actually diverting in any way from the usual rate of movement
>seems rather impossible to me. Maybe I just need to practice more.

There's that whole "approaching the speed of light" thing of a
relativistic nature, but that's not quite the same thing.

If you visit a tourist trap like Williamsburg, Virginia they will
send you back in time 200 years. You can get the idea from:

http://tian.greens.orge/Thanksgiving/2005/Williamsburg2.html

Here in California's San Francisco Bay Area, going back in time
is less spectacular. It happens when you listen to KFOG's 10 [at] 10.

http://kfog.com/10 [at] 10/default.asp

I'm sure there are other ways.

I might have played too much Munchkin. I think of tourist traps as a
curse card :-)

Those kinds of things exists near where I grew up, though that's back
to the medieval time and closer to Copenhagen back to the viking
age. I find those kinds of places fascinating.

The first one was Middelaldercenteret (The Medieval Centre) near
Nykøbing Falster. The other one was indeed Lejre.

Also the above sentence certainly needs some correction and a plit up
in two separate sentences. Of course I meant I grew up near where the
medieval thing is now - and now I live near the viking thingy :-)
