does anyone know if they will be offering the 6 movies as a box set and if
so will it be in time for Christmas?

There will be no six movie set for Christmas 2005 and never has been
any indication that there would be - only one vague 'Net rumour.

Nope. The 30th anniversary is in 2007, so as of today you've got two
Christmases to go and then you *MAY* get the six movie set.
The "best guess", but completely UNofficial idea is for releases along
the lines of:
- Episode III Christmas 2005 (released already)
- Prequel Box Set Christmas 2006
- Six Movie Box Set Christmas 2007 (30th anniversary)
But since the 30th anniversary is actually in the first half of the
year, any rumoured six movie set might be released earlier than the
Christmas season.

George is going to let you buy Episode 3 by itself,then as part of the
prequel trilogy boxed set and yet again as the complete saga boxed
set.He's no fool,it's all about the coin!

Wrong. It's all about the tweaks. Releasing multiple copies allows
George Lucas to continue making changes. ;-)

Can he start with making Cody's head match his CG body movements a lot
better? Why he didn't just film him wearing a real armor suit in those
dinky scenes instead of sticking his head onto the CB body I'll never
know. The damned CG aliens looked more real than a man wearing a suit,
go figure.

Well, I have always thought that Temuera Morrison was a much worse
actor and more alien than Jar Jar. :-)

But they might release a standard definition boxset next year, maybe
even by midyear, before the market declines in favor of high definition
discs. They want to keep you buying the same movies ad infinitum.
