My mother had a 'K' body, I think it was an Ford Escort, Brought it to
Raben Tire for rough idle and hard to start. $3000 dollars, several
trips back; they finally said that they had no idea what is wrong with
it and now it doesn't work at all...Even a call to the corporate
office did not get them to lower the bill !!!

I don't think I ever lost a car to natural causes... most of mine went
out in a blaze of glory, everything from literally breaking a ford
galaxy in half to driving a t-bird home with the engine on fire to
running over my own passenger seat with $40 worth of groceries in it...

My current vehicle is a Ford Ranger pickup, I bought it new, it now

Well... when you make cars do things they're not really meant to do they
sometimes have trouble taking the strain.
I think my favorite, after snapping the galaxy in two that is, was when
I took a '78 mustang through a gap in a guardrail without getting a
scratch on the car, I then had a friend of mine, who was with me in the
car at the time, pace off the gap and he was more than a bit surprised
to find that the gap was narrower than the car's width.
When he asked how that was possible, I just shrugged and grinned... he
was never quite the same after that.
My current lairmate thinks I should write down all the stories I tell
her about my growing up and have them published, but I keep telling her
no one would believe them. Things from various instances of automotive
mayhem to the backyard siege weapon projects... to turning a section of
a friend's driveway into glass. (safety note: Setting old VWs on fire is
not always a wise course of action, but it is fun)

Well, I found the problem wasn't Canadian Tire, the problem was Bank of
Montreal, an account that they wrote off in 2002 is still being reported
today..... Now I get to find a lawyer to see if I can get them to change
that, and since it's a fraudulent claim on my credit report, see if I can
sue them for it.....
