Sky One is going to re-make "The Prisoner." Woot! This could be
really good. I hope they go for heavy social commentary, and deal
adequately with the philosophical implications.

Well, instead of the red herring Cold War mentality, it can be the
dumbed down lying Dubya mentality that haunts The Prisoner.

And The Village can be located at Guantanamo.
"You are Mohammed Number Six. I am Mohammed Number 2"
"Who is Mohammed Number One?"
"You are Mohammed Number Six."

I sort of hope it takes an approach more along the lines of the
Matrix. That we are all prisoners of our own realities.

Adolescent philosophy. Oh yeah, we really need more of that on television.
I hope it engages with the issues that made the original great, and which
are more important today then they were back then. Advances in technology
are making issues of privacy and identity much more complicated, for
example.

Nooooooooo!
Is nothing sacred.
I have yet to see any older series that was not destroyed by re-makes.
BTW are there any stations still airing the original show ?
BBC-America was for a while, but not in some months.
