I have always been a Lucasarts Fan, from the days of X-Wing vs. tie
Fighter. But after playing Battlefront II You feel totally let down and
feel a rushed out the door game that 75% was just duplicated from the
original. From the Very beginning the introduction in The Original is
even better than Battlefront II. It lacks excitement and any visuals
that make the first such a hit. Even the Movie Sequences are low
quality and blurred look to them as they were trying to make them a
dream type event. either way it looks cheap and lacks any inginuity. As
far as the Conquest mode some maps are exact duplicates and the endor
map was visually better in the first. Photo realism is non existant
but tries to add space flight and maps from episode III To save it...
Rushing games out to be in time for DVD Releases will not work.
Adding a few new maps on top of the same engine will not work. This
might have gone through as an expansion pack fine but not a new game.
Shame on lucas arts and pandemic.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. I can't believe people are
swooning over this steaming pile. Battlefront 1 blows 2 away. On paper,
Battlefront 2 ought to be worlds better. Better graphics, the ability to
switch characters at checkpoints, heroes, space battles, stat
keeping...really, the only thing missing is fun! When you die in BF1, its
usually your own fault. In BF2, I find myself just rolling my eyes at some
of the cheap deaths that come my way. I was a little surprised to see a
sequel so soon. Maybe Lucas Arts should have waited a little longer and
gotten it right.
