What I think is that Snape is up to something much bigger than just being a
Death Eater. He is not really a Voldemort's man in his mind. He is posing
as one and Voldermort considers him an important servant, but from his
history and character it looks like he has his own secret agenda. He might
be even preparing his own plans to lead the dark world. To take over the
Dark Side he may be even planning to kill Voldermort.
He is very patient, strong and smart. With his infinite patience and
loyalty he wins his masters' unlimited trust, only to strike when his time
comes. He fooled such a wise and powerful wizard as Dumbledore for so long,
he might be fooling Voldermort right now.
My theory about the book 7 is this: first Snape kills Voldermort and takes
over, then in the main showdown of all the series Harry finishes Snape with
the help of Ginny and others.

I don't find this particulary likely. Snape seems to me to have the
brains and abilities to maybe try to pull this off, but does not seem
to be a person who would want this. (If he thinks Hogwarts Potions
students are dunderheads, wait until he's giving orders to Death
Eaters!)
But the biggest objection I would make is the Prophecy...

Yes, this makes a perfect sense and is actually very likely to happen. It
puts all the pieces together. Thanks for this splendid idea.
Snape weakness is, what he said himself in his conversation with
Narcissa: he underestimates Harry.

"Join me, Harry, and together we will rule the Galaxy!"
