Mine only came the other day, so I think it could be partly down to Nemo
writing them late...
Not that I'm for a moment suggesting he's not punctual.

I sent a package to Andorra from Denmark in late july. Just got it
back yesterday with a claim that the receipient refused to receive it.
Well... She never saw the package and couldn't refuse to receive it..
So yes, gotta love the postal service ;o)

I mail something to NZ every now and then. Every year or two
it seems one comes back "return to sender no such person."
I've noticed that happens a lot less with the USPS.

Wednesday I got home from my trip to the eastern shore of Virginia.
The big highlight was seeing my step sister getting married. Another
one was coming home with three Kansas quarters. I hadn't seen any
before getting to Memphis, TN, where I got two of them in my change.

In the lobby of the Mountain View Post Office,
there is a mat with the slogan "WE DELIVER FOR YOU"
built into it. I remember looking at it and thinking
"I don't need to have a big ego to believe that one."

Yesterday I found myself talking to friends about the fact
Lennox Sweeney had died the previous day. He was a good friend.
He was always at peace vigils and protests, carrying signs
that said something well. His last was "QUAGMIRE ACCOMPLISHED".

It happens very seldom in Denmark too. However a return rate of 4 out
of 5 is just very bad. As she actually got one of them the address
must be the right one.
I better go and deliver them myself! Yes, a vacation would be good, I
am sure ;o)
