Tillykke med f=F8dselsdagen, Nikitta! (although I just missed it by 3
minutes)

Well, I might as well make you feel a little at your childhood home
here on your birthday, so I send my greetings in Danish :-)

I hope you enjoy your day and your new home in Ireland. We miss your
presence here at the froup, as witnessed by the amount of greeters
today :-) I even had to use Google Groups just to wish you happy
birthday, since I'm not at home today! Do come back :-)

Aaawww! Thanks, everybody!

We had a very nice evening, and ate at a very nice Italian reastaurant.

As far as my returning, I'm working on it, as we've ordered an internet
connection at home, but so far, we don't know when we'll actually get
it, and they're not known for being fast here.

You will not believe what a hassle it was for me to get a bank account
here, despite having a letter from my employer stating that I do work
and live here, and they they do pay me. Just to rent a movie, you'll
need two kinds of picture ID and a proof of address! Wah! Mommy! I'm
scared!

Otherwise, we're enjoying it here: last weekend, we went to Dublin to
see Denis Leary.

Land of the Dead is also finally out here, and we saw a few days ago.
Yay! I loved it, and laughed out loud at the movies (as the only one.
Have people no humour here? ;0))

Sometimes next week, we will go and buy me something at The Other Realm
(well, that's the name of a shop, so non of the obvious puns, okay?)
where they have so many neat things.

Have I told you about having found "The Orcs, omnibus edition" by Stan
Nicholls, and really enjoying it? Probably, as I've told just about
everybody. Well - I've found some more books by hium, used, and will
start reading them soon. It's such a pity that I have such high
expectations to them, because then I'm bound to be dissapointed.

Kind regards,
Nikitta.

Speaking of ridiculous: they have apple/cinnamon flavured goat's

I also found that on some packet of naan-bread, you can buy here, it
says "Share and... joy!" Hm....

Kind regards,

Thanks! Could you also send me some Gevalia? It's *so* hard to find

Good thing Nikitta isn't Irish then :-)

Though, seriously, I can hereby wholeheartedly swear that no disrespect
of any kind was meant! I merely wanted to make a joke on coffee might
not being welcome in Ireland.

That said, I've always felt that the best way to fight terrorism is
probably with ridicule. Terrorism is the worst kind of
revenge-mentality, since the only thing that can possibly be gained by
it is fear and resentment in the (usually innocent) people who are hit.
I have yet to see anything gained by terrorism other than resentment
againt the cause they are trying to defend. If terrorism was seen as
ridiculous (which indeed it is - an terrible) it might help to make it
harder to find new recruits for terrorist organisations. Thus, I always
find it rather strange when I'm told that terrorists are not to be made
fun of.

Of course, a rant like the one above is all to often necessary when I do
make jokes involving terrorists, which spoils the joke completely. Danm.

Seems that some people can tell just by looking at me. Don't get me

FWIW, I laughed and wasn't the least bit offended.

I've talked with my Nice Norwegian Nosewarmer[31], and the Swedish guy
we share flat with, and have decided that we ought to join those three
countries into one with a common Scandinavian language, so we can be
big and strong, and make Ireland accept decent coffee, and
Salmiaklakrids.

Okay - so that's a complicated way to go about it, but who said it
should be easy?

[31] Yes, I actually call him that at times.[89]
[89] Because my nose is often cold, and I press it[22] against him to
warm it[22]
[22] The nose, that is!

Kind regards,
Nikitta.

Click on "show options" then use the "Reply" in the options, and you'll
get the quoted message.

Or use the standard the standard "Reply" link, but "Preview" the totally
empty reply before you even type anything. Then choose "Edit message",
and Google will assume you're totally clueless, take pity on you, and
give you a quoted message to help you with your reply.

But just don't post straight from the standard "Reply" because that
appears to bes only for those times when you don't want quoting.

Strange, but that's how Google Groups works!
